Job Description The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Administrative Assistant III, Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement
ROLE of the POSITION The Administrative Assistant III provides comprehensive administrative and operational support across Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement, helping coordinate divisional priorities and day-to-day operations. The position serves as a central resource for administrative workflows, records and document management, business processes, meeting and event coordination, and special projects. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining organizational materials and reports; coordinating calendars, meetings, events, and stakeholder activities; tracking deadlines, approvals, and follow-up items; supporting Workday and other administrative transactions; coordinating organizational and staff support activities; and assisting with staff engagement, recognition, and division-wide initiatives. The position requires strong organization, sound judgment, discretion in handling confidential information, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities while supporting consistent and efficient operations across the division

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsible relevant administrative experience, including experience in one or more of the following areas: maintaining complex or confidential records; coordinating business or personnel-related processes; processing administrative, financial, payroll, travel, or purchasing documentation; and supporting staff, projects, meetings, and organizational activities; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in higher education, nonprofit organizations, advancement, alumni relations, foundation operations, or executive administration. Experience in Workday or similar enterprise business systems.

SALARY Grade 27 Step 1, salary $46,207.44. In accordance with Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) 284.170, initial appointments to classified positions typically begin at Step 1 of the assigned grade. A "Step" refers to the specific rate of pay within a grade, as determined by the Division of Human Resources.
