About this role

Job Description Summary:

Overview

North America Supply Chain is moving from a traditional enterprise technology model to an empowered product operating model.   Product Management, Design, and Data capabilities are being   established ; now we need an engineering leader to build the product engineering capability that brings   the model to life at scale.

This is a hands-on build-and-transform leadership mandate, not a traditional systems-administration role focused on building the engineering organization behind North America Supply Chain. Reporting to the Head of Engineering   & Platform for North America , you will build and lead the supply chain engineering team responsible for the products that power planning, sourcing, manufacturing, warehousing,   logistics , and fulfillment.

Our supply chain spans company-owned plants, co-manufacturing partners, suppliers, and distribution networks, creating significant operational complexity. Your mandate is to build high-performing, product-minded engineering teams that modernize critical systems, improve visibility and decision-making, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

What you will own

• Supply chain engineering build-out.  Build the engineering team, operating rhythms, technical standards, and management practices needed to support a modern product operating model within  supply  chain. Hire, coach, and develop engineering managers, senior engineers, architects, and product-minded teams capable of owning complex supply chain products and  platforms  end to end.

• Organization stewardship.   Own engineering capacity, talent strategy, partner/vendor decisions, and engineering investment trade-offs. Partner with Product and business leaders to align engineering capacity to the highest-value Supply Chain outcomes while increasing internal capability and improving delivery economics.

• Domain-specific technical leadership.  Partner with supply chain product, design, data, operations, and business leaders to translate operational priorities into durable technical capabilities. Focus engineering energy on the systems and workflows that matter most across planning, manufacturing,  logistics , quality, warehousing, fulfillment, and customer service   workflows .

• Product-engineering partnership.  Operate as the senior engineering counterpart to supply chain product leadership. Ensure engineers  participate  early in discovery,   shape  feasibility  and sequencing, and stay accountable for outcomes rather than handoffs or outputs.

• Engineering excellence.  Establish standards and metrics for reliability, deployment frequency, cycle time, quality, security, observability, incident learning, and measurable business impact. Make technical debt visible as an operational and business trade-off, not just an engineering concern.

• AI , automation, and engineering productivity .  Use AI, automation, integration patterns, and platform engineering to improve developer productivity, supply chain decision quality, workflow automation, and service experiences. Establish responsible guardrails for data readiness, controls, security, compliance, and human-in-the-loop decisioning.

• Portfolio and e nterprise   leadership .  Translate architecture, reliability, delivery, and investment choices into clear business risk and opportunity. Partner with the Head of Engineering and NAOU leaders to align roadmap, funding, headcount, vendor strategy, and platform priorities.

• Capability Transition .  Build a deliberate mix of internal and partner engineering capability, using external talent to accelerate delivery while systematically increasing critical engineering knowledge and ownership within TCCC.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related technical field

• 12+ years of software, platform, or enterprise engineering experience, including 5+ years leading managers or multi-team engineering organizations

• Proven  track record  building and scaling engineering teams, including defining the hiring bar, team topology, technical standards, operating rhythms, and leadership expectations.

• Experience delivering engineering solutions for supply chain, manufacturing,  logistics , fulfillment, operations, or similar

• Strong technical background in modern enterprise architecture, including distributed systems, API and integration platforms, data pipelines or data products, cloud-native architectures, observability, and secure software delivery.

• Experience modernizing legacy, vendor-heavy, or highly integrated systems while  maintaining  business continuity, using pragmatic build, buy, and partner decisions.

• Demonstrated ability to partner with Product Management, Design, Data, Operations, and business leaders to move from project-based delivery to outcome-oriented product engineering.

• Experience leading multi-domain engineering portfolios with competing priorities, complex dependencies, and senior stakeholder needs.

• Strong understanding of supply chain performance drivers, including service levels, OTIF, inventory, capacity, throughput, quality,  logistics , and operational resilience.

• Proven ability to develop engineering leaders, align cross-functional stakeholders, and navigate complex organizational dynamics with clarity, accountability, and inclusion.

Preferred

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Analytics, or Business Administration.

• Experience in CPG, manufacturing, retail,  logistics , industrial technology, or other large-scale operational environments.

• Experience working within ERP-enabled supply chain environments, including SAP S/4HANA or equivalent enterprise platforms.

• Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems, warehouse management systems, transportation management systems, or supply chain planning tools such as Blue Yonder, o9
