Overview of the Role

As a Product Marketing Manager at Upshop, you will help translate our products, market expertise, and customer value into compelling stories, content, and enablement that drive growth. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Marketing, Sales, Solutions Consulting, and Customer Success. You will develop positioning and messaging, support go-to-market initiatives, build sales and product enablement programs, and ensure customer-facing teams have the knowledge and content they need to confidently position Upshop's solutions. You will also help manage and scale our product marketing and enablement content ecosystem, ensuring teams can easily find, understand, and use the right content throughout the customer journey. The ideal candidate combines strong product marketing fundamentals with hands-on experience in sales enablement, content strategy, and cross-functional execution.

Responsibilities

Positioning, Messaging & Go-to-Market

• Develop compelling positioning, messaging, value propositions, and product narratives that clearly communicate the value and differentiation of Upshop solutions.

• Partner with Product and cross-functional teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for product launches, enhancements, and strategic initiatives.

• Translate complex product capabilities into clear customer outcomes, use cases, and stories tailored to key buyer personas and retail segments.

• Develop customer-facing content including solution briefs, presentations, landing pages, blogs, thought leadership, case studies, and other strategic assets.

• Connect industry trends, customer insights, product capabilities, and business outcomes to inform product marketing strategy.

Sales & Product Enablement

• Partner with Sales, Solutions Consulting, Customer Success, and Product to identify enablement needs and knowledge gaps.

• Develop sales enablement programs that build fluency and confidence across Upshop's products, solutions, industries, competitors, and customer use cases.

• Create and maintain enablement materials including pitch decks, discovery guides, talk tracks, objection handling, battlecards, product guides, competitive resources, and value-selling tools.

• Support product enablement initiatives that help customer-facing teams understand new capabilities, how to position them, and the customer outcomes they enable.

• Help establish repeatable enablement processes around product launches and major product enhancements.

• Partner with stakeholders to measure enablement effectiveness and continuously improve programs based on adoption, feedback, and business needs.

Content Strategy & Management

• Help establish and maintain a centralized, scalable content ecosystem for product marketing and sales enablement.

• Own the organization, governance, maintenance, and lifecycle of product marketing and enablement content to ensure teams can easily find and use current, approved materials.

• Identify content gaps, redundancies, and outdated assets and develop processes for ongoing content optimization.

• Partner with Marketing and Revenue teams to improve content discoverability, adoption, and usage across the organization.

• Help establish standards for content taxonomy, ownership, version control, and ongoing maintenance.

• Use content engagement and usage insights to understand what is working and inform future content development.

Market, Customer & Competitive Intelligence

• Conduct market and customer research to understand buyer needs, pain points, priorities, and buying behaviors across Upshop's target markets.

• Support customer interviews and voice-of-customer initiatives to uncover insights that strengthen messaging, content, and go-to-market strategy.

• Monitor retail technology trends and translate relevant developments into actionable insights for internal teams.

• Support Upshop's competitive intelligence program by developing and maintaining battlecards, competitive comparisons, differentiators, and competitive positioning.

• Partner with Sales and Solutions Consulting to capture field intelligence and incorporate it into competitive and enablement resources.

Success in this role means Upshop's customer-facing teams are more confident, better equipped, and more consistent in how they communicate our value.

You will help ensure that:

• Sellers can confidently position Upshop's products and solutions.

• Teams understand not only what our products do, but why they matter to retailers.

• Customer-facing teams have easy access to current, relevant, and effective content.

• Product launches are supported by clear messaging and effective enablement.

• Customer, market, and competitive insights consistently inform how Upshop goes to market.

• Product marketing content is organized, governed, measurable, and continuously improved.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, B2B SaaS marketing, or a related role.

• Strong understanding of core product marketing disciplines including positioning, messaging, buyer personas, competitive intelligence, go-to-market strategy, and product launches.

• Demonstrated experience developing sales enablement programs and materials for customer-facing teams.

• Experience managing, organizing, or governing sales and marketing content within a content man
