Head of Business Operations - Technology Operations The Business Operations role is a unique opportunity to work closely with the senior leadership team in shaping the rhythm of business, portfolio planning, and the operating mechanics that drive execution across enterprise technology operations. You will own the system by which work is prioritized, resourced, measured, and communicated, providing operational leverage across the CTOO portfolio and ensuring alignment with broader enterprise priorities.
What You'll Do Operating Cadence & Strategic Planning • Design and lead the rhythm of the business across enterprise-wide technology operations — staff meetings, MBRs and QBRs, annual and quarterly planning cycles, and action tracking to closure. • Act as a key advisor to the CTOO in decision-making, managing priorities and portfolios to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. • Identify and prioritize strategic programs to improve delivery, efficiency, and risk posture across the CTOO Office.
Demand & Capacity Management • Operate a single intake path for inbound work requests; triage, size, prioritize, and route against available capacity. • Own workforce and capacity planning across headcount and contractor mix, including allocation across value streams and forecasting of supply against committed and pipeline demand. • Surface capacity constraints and trade-off recommendations to leadership before they become escalations.
Financial Management • Own the functional budget: forecast accuracy, OPEX and CAPEX tracking, and variance explanation in partnership with FP&A. • Support headcount planning, resource allocation, and cost transparency, ensuring the CTOO's priorities are met within financial constraints.
Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management • Manage contract lifecycle, renewals, and rate cards; drive vendor performance reviews against agreed outcomes. • Identify spend consolidation and rationalization opportunities across overlapping vendors and tooling.
Performance Management • Define and maintain the KPI and OKR framework, scorecards, and dashboards for the function, including the data hygiene required to make them trustworthy. • Interpret operational and financial data to identify trends and inform decisions — insight and recommendation, not status reporting.
Portfolio & Program Oversight • Maintain an investment-level view of initiatives, including dependencies, risks, and benefit realization. • Roll up program status to leadership and enterprise governance forums with a single credible source of truth on schedule and confidence.
Process & Continuous Improvement • Standardize, document, and automate recurring processes; identify and retire low-value work. • Partner with teams to manage resistance and promote engagement during periods of change.
Executive Communications & Stakeholder Management • Prepare briefings, decision packages, and presentations for leadership meetings at all levels, up to and including the Board of Directors. • Partner with business unit leaders on demand intake, prioritization, and shared initiative planning.
Governance & Risk Interlock • Ensure policy adherence and reporting readiness across the function. • Coordinate with Enterprise Risk Management on risk reporting, remediation tracking, and governance forum inputs.
What You'll Bring • Proven experience in a business operations or strategy and operations leadership role, preferably in a fast-paced or high-growth technology environment. • Deep understanding of business operations, financial metrics, and performance drivers in a technology company, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation. • Demonstrated ownership of demand and capacity management mechanics — intake, prioritization, and allocation across competing priorities. • Strong analytical capability: able to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insight into operational decisions. • Executive communication skills — able to compress ambiguity into a one-page recommendation for senior leaders and stand behind it. • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority, including holding senior peers to commitments. • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA preferred. • 12+ years in a leadership or operational role, with a minimum of 5 years working closely with C-level executives in technology companies. • Direct experience supporting an information technology, cybersecurity, or technology infrastructure organization. • Demonstrated ownership of a multi-million dollar operating budget and vendor portfolio. • Proven track record driving cross-functional initiatives across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to successful completion. • Experience operating in a global, matrixed enterprise environment.
Preferred • Working knowledge of cloud services commercial models — consumption-based pricing, reserved capacity, committed spend agreements, and cloud cost optimization (FinOps). • Familiarity with AI and LLM consumption economics, including token-based pricing models and cost-per-workload forecasting.
