Position: Associate Product Manager, Osprey Department: Product for Osprey Work Location: Cortez, CO, Hybrid (work 3 days onsite)
Hybrid Schedule: At Helen of Troy, we embrace a flexible hybrid work model designed to support collaboration and productivity. For roles eligible for hybrid work, our standard schedule includes in-office collaboration from Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Any updates to this model will be communicated in advance. Please note that hybrid eligibility and schedules may vary based on business needs and manager expectations.
What you will be doing: The Associate Product Manager, SMUs & Collaboration supports category lead business objectives by managing the development, execution, and commercialization of Special Make-Up (SMU), collaboration, and DTC-exclusive product programs. This role drives cross-functional coordination and execution of strategic initiatives while managing a portfolio of DTC products, including logo wear, headwear, socks, belts, camp accessories, and other brand-extension items. The Associate Product Manager serves as the central point of contact for collaboration partners and internal stakeholders, ensuring projects remain aligned with category strategies, stay on schedule, and are successfully brought to market. • Support Category Lead business objectives through the delivery of strategic product initiatives and partnerships.
• Execute SMU, collaboration, and DTC-exclusive product programs from concept through market launch.
• Manage post-launch requirements, partner commitments, and program follow-up activities.
• Manage project timelines, milestones, approvals, and key deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Design, Development, Product Line Management (PLM), Sales, Marketing, Go-to-Market, DTC, Legal, and external collaboration partners to ensure projects remain aligned, on schedule and launch-ready.
• Communicate project status, risks, and next steps to stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external collaboration partners.
• Partner closely with Legal to coordinate NDAs, contracts, licensing agreements, and required approvals, ensuring documentation is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain product information, item setup, project documentation, and supporting materials to support commercialization and launch readiness.
• Support go-to-market activities, including sales presentations, marketing deliverables, and DTC launches.
• Manage sample tracking, distribution, and readiness for key business needs.
• Maintain organized project records, tools, and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and execution efficiency.
• Lead post-launch reviews for collaboration programs, sharing key performance metrics, business results, and lessons learned with global stakeholders to inform future partnership and product strategies.
Skills needed to be successful in this role: • Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-driven, and comfortable managing multiple complex calendars, timelines, samples, and deliverables.
• Proven ability to maintain accurate product data in internal and DTC systems, including product copy, SKU details, launch timing, and owned-channel item readiness.
• Ability to work with external partners, legal documents, collaboration requirements, and cross-functional stakeholders as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree, with focus in business, marketing, merchandising, product management, project management, or equivalent work experience.
• 1+ years of experience in product management, product operations, merchandising, merchandising operations, project management, product development, ecommerce merchandising, owned digital item setup, or a consumer sales organization.
• Understanding of the industry, marketplace, consumer/end user, competitors, and retail/channel dynamics.
• Strong retail math, analytical, pricing, costing, margin, SKU, and assortment-planning skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with SMUs, collaborations, product commercialization, or go-to-market processes.
• Understanding of product creation, development, commercialization, LR/GTM milestones, sample management, and go-to-market processes.
In Colorado, the standard base pay range for this role is $60,000 - $65,000 annually. This base pay range is specific to Colorado and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
