Essential Functions The ideal candidate will support Product Manager(s) in defining product release requirements based on market problems. This candidate will work with Product Managers and Marketing Communications to assist in defining the go-to-market strategy by providing key product and market insights. Communications skills are key to success in this role. The candidate must be prepared to communicate with all areas of the company, with emphasis on supporting the sales channel and customers. This candidate will possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy that includes a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality. This candidate must also enjoy spending time in the market to understand market problems, and finding innovative solutions for the broader market. Success is achieved by meeting or exceeding product P&L commitments.
Key Essential Functions: • You are a key contributor to the team responsible for P&L for on demand audio and video interpreting for both business and direct to consumer markets. You will analyze and optimize product profitability and sales success while collaborating with vendors, operations and customer service teams to cut expense and improve efficiency.
• Support On Demand Interpreting products and emerging AI-powered solutions, by translating customer, market, and operational needs into clear product requirements.
• Evaluate AI products, platforms, and capabilities to identify opportunities to improve data analysis, customer experience, operational efficiency, and product performance.
• Apply ethical and responsible AI practices to optimize product processes and daily workflows while protecting customer trust, privacy, quality, and compliance.
• Support the customer throughout the product lifecycle including: marketing; sales; client usage, growth and adoption; and operations including technical support.
• Collaborate with vendor partners to create optimal experiences for shared client bases, including evaluating the vendors’ products and representing solutions that are mutually beneficial.
• Discover, validate and prioritize market problems (both for existing and prospective customers) for handoff to the product development team.
• Seek new market opportunities for our products by leveraging the company’s distinctive competence.
• Assist in defining and sizing market segments.
• Conduct win/loss analysis.
• Partner with the sales teams to sell products and grow revenue profitably.
• As the market expert, speak at trade shows, industry events and webinars.
• Support final marketing and go-to-market plans.
• Participate in training the sales, implementation and customer service teams on all product enhancements.
Additional Functions • Provide product expertise on company initiatives and other projects/tasks.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of competitive products and contribute to analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses.
• Perform such duties and assume such other responsibilities as may be required.
Qualifications Required Qualifications • High drive for customer satisfaction and delivering on results.
• 2+ years of marketing, product development, sales, or product management experience.
• Passionate about building products and customer success.
• Track record of using qualitative and quantitative data to prioritize and drive decision-making. Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, Project or Basecamp.
• Proficiency analyzing product, usage, and operational data using analytics tools such as Elastic, Tableau, or Excel to identify trends, measure outcomes, and support product recommendations.
• Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools such as Microsoft Teams, Salesforce, and Slack.
• Metrics-driven: Strong analytical and synthesis skills are a must, including the ability to absorb and process large amounts of data into actionable information.
• Curious and comfortable holding professional conversations with our target buyers and users.
• Experience working with AI products, AI platforms, or AI-enabled workflows, with the ability to evaluate practical use cases and translate them into product requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools ethically and responsibly to optimize processes, daily workflows, and decision-making.
• Strong writing and public speaking skills.
• Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties.
• Ability to see multiple solutions to problems and identify the optimal one for the situation.
• Must possess excellent business judgment and a practical, common-sense approach to getting things done.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited college/university or equivalent business experience.
Preferred Qualifications • Subject matter expert/industry experience is a strong plus.
• Technical aptitude and an interest in new and upcoming technologies to ensure the best possible solutions for clients.
• Experience supporting or managing an AI-enabled product or platform is a plus.
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salary for this role is listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this location. Experience and education refers to LanguageLine Solutions’ current salary range for this position. US CA Monterey Headquarters and US (Remote) pay range is $60,000 -70,400 USD Annually. This role is also eligible for bonus potential. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan.
