About this role
About Anthropic
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.
About the Role
Anthropic's enterprise business is growing fast, and enterprises are adopting Claude across product surfaces. Before they can deploy at scale, they need the same foundations everywhere: security and compliance controls, identity and access management, data governance, admin controls, and cost and spend management. This work is especially critical for customers in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, public sector), whose security, privacy, and resilience requirements set the bar for everyone else.
We're looking for a Technical Program Manager to partner with the teams that own these enterprise foundations, own the planning and execution rhythm that gets each capability onto every surface, and contribute to a coherent leadership view of coverage, gaps, and progress across products. This is a senior role: product, engineering, and GTM leaders will look to you for where we stand on enterprise readiness and for the plan to close the gaps.
Responsibilities
• Run the planning and operating cadence for the foundational-capability roadmap across surfaces: clear DRIs, sequenced dependencies, and a single source of truth on coverage and status for product, engineering, and GTM leadership
• Drive the highest-priority foundational capability programs end to end, from scoping and tradeoff decisions through delivery on every surface
• Shape the readiness bar for new products and features: what a surface must have in place before it reaches enterprise customers, and the call on in-flight features that are missing controls
• Work across teams and directly with customers: partner with sales, customer success, solutions, and support on active deals and escalations, join customer security and compliance reviews, and bring what enterprises are blocked on back to product and engineering
• Translate customer and regulatory requirements into technical programs: work with legal, compliance, and GTM to prioritize the highest-impact enterprise asks and map them to roadmaps with dates
Sample projects include
• Take a regulated customer's security control assessment from findings to closed gaps, with owners and dates across product, security, and infrastructure
• Stand up a data residency program: gather requirements by market, what each surface must support, and sequencing with infrastructure
• Build the operating model for co-building with a large enterprise design partner: staffing, cadence, and how their asks reach the roadmap
• Extend healthcare compliance coverage to new product surfaces, with a migration path customers can actually take
You may be a good fit if you
• Have 8+ years of technical program management experience, with a track record of building cross-functional programs from scratch in ambiguous environments
• Have driven decisions among senior leaders with competing priorities, and are comfortable plainly articulating what is and is not ready for enterprise customers
• Have driven adoption of platform or horizontal capabilities across product teams that don't share a reporting line, where success depended on other teams building on what you shipped
• Understand what enterprises require before they adopt at scale, particularly for customers in regulated industries: security and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, FedRAMP), identity and access (SSO, SCIM, RBAC), data governance (retention, residency, customer-managed keys), audit logging, and spend controls
• Have worked directly with regulated customers on their security reviews, questionnaires, audit findings, and contract redlines, and understand how control design, evidence collection, and engineering delivery fit together
• Thrive when the operating model itself is still being defined and see shaping it as part of the job
Strong candidates may also have
• Owned a HIPAA program end to end at a software company, including BAAs, PHI handling, and supporting product controls
• Worked with financial services customers on data retention, data residency, and encryption requirements (including retention and deletion commitments, regional hosting, customer-managed keys, and contractual evidence and attestations)
• Run a design partnership or co-build with a large enterprise customer
• Experience using Claude or other LLM tooling to automate program tracking and reporting
