About this role
About the Team
At DoorDash, design means making experiences for the people who order, the people who prepare, and the people who deliver.
As a Designer at DoorDash, you want to build things that matter to real people. You're at your best when you can move from idea to shipped product quickly, bringing experiences to life that reach and influence users at massive scale. You'll care about whether the product you make solved a real problem for real people, or changed how someone experiences their day.
You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with Engineering and Product Management, dig into the data, and use LLM-powered tools alongside traditional design tools. If the LLM powered tools don’t exist yet, you build them.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Staff Product Designer to join our Integrity Design team and shape how DoorDash earns and protects trust across its three-sided marketplace. Integrity is a uniquely rich design space: every decision can affect a Customer’s confidence, a Dasher’s earnings and safety, a Merchant’s business, and the health of the marketplace itself. You’ll work across high-craft moments in the Consumer and Dasher apps and Merchant Portal, operational review tools, and AI-powered systems that detect risk, assemble evidence, and drive decisions. Your goal won’t simply be to block bad behavior. It will be to make those decisions precise, proportionate, and understandable—protecting good users, applying friction only where it’s needed, and making it painstakingly difficult for bad actors to exploit the platform.
Your work will span fraud, trust, safety, and compliance, connecting the full service journey rather than optimizing a single screen or workflow in isolation. You’ll bring a strong human point of view to technically and operationally complex systems, shaping both how decisions are made and how consequential moments—verification, warnings, denials, or restrictions—are experienced. You will report to the head of Design for Customer Experience and Integrity, working alongside designers focused on support experiences and tooling, fraud, trust, safety, and compliance. This role is not 100% remote. We operate in a hybrid model with 1–2 days per week in our New York City office.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
• Define projects with a clear point of view on what to build, writing briefs that synthesize business and customer inputs into roadmap milestones; balance customer needs, business goals, and feasibility to shape what your team builds and why
• Bring clarity to ambiguous, cross-team problems and turn them into actionable work that ships; drive prioritization across your team and adjacent teams, making tradeoffs between design quality, speed, and impact so the highest-leverage work moves first
• Shape key projects from concept through execution — staying close enough to resolve issues during iteration, guiding design direction, and shipping work that drives measurable outcomes across multiple teams; produce high-fidelity designs and production-ready prototypes that set the craft standard for the team
• Design solutions spanning multiple workflows and contribute to shared tools — prompt libraries, component generators, workflow automations — that improve productivity across teams; mentor peers on responsible AI use and contribute reusable frameworks adopted beyond your own team
• Build trusted relationships across your team and adjacent product teams, influencing their roadmaps through evidence-based thinking and live prototypes that make your recommendations concrete; pursue consistent self-improvement and flex into raising team outcomes
• Multiply team capacity through mentorship, recruiting, and inclusive practices that raise the bar across your product group
We’re excited about you because…
• You have a portfolio that shows projects that demonstrate craft excellence, systems thinking, and leadership through influence
• You reach for code editors and LLM-powered tools as naturally as design tools, prototyping in production and contributing meaningfully to the codebase
• You influence, design, and build solutions that work across teams and workflows
• You enjoy navigating unclear problems across multiple teams and create clarity through shipped artifacts, not slide decks
• You have a background in high-growth consumer tech or complex marketplace products
