We are searching for the best talent for a Sr. Supervisor, Operations CAR-T to join our team in Raritan, NJ.
Summary: The Sr. Supervisor is an exempt-level position within Operations responsible for directing the daily production of a personalized cell therapy to support both clinical and commercial requirements in a sterile cGMP environment. Their job duties will be performed within a team-based environment. This role will support the Monday-Friday 2nd shift schedule 4:00pm-12:30am.
Key Responsibilities: • Lead and provide oversight for off-shift manufacturing activities within one or multiple unit operations in the CAR-T process.
• Lead daily shift operations meetings (Tier Meeting) where you would assign individuals their daily production task to complete and ensure compliance and successful completion of work-related tasks.
• Work closely with operations personnel on the production floor to provide clear guidance and perform production tasks as needed to help the team, in a manner consistent with safety policies, quality systems, and cGMP requirements.
• Support manufacturing investigations and the implementation of subsequent corrective actions.
• Work with Process Area Owners to help oversee the development of production personnel, provide input on personnel performance.
• Build positive relationships with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to ensure seamless execution of daily production tasks and work as part of a cross-functional team to address production issues as the first point of contact for operators on the production floor.
• Support the development of manufacturing processes and work with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvements and efficiencies within cell therapy Operations.
• Participate in various department projects and handle challenging priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Support the growth and development of supervisors and operations personnel within the Value Stream through coaching, hiring support, performance management, and talent development.
• Maintain a state of permanent inspection readiness and actively support internal and regulatory inspections.
• Supports the operational unit assigned as a process subject matter expert in addition being able to fully support the Functional Area Manager as a delegate in decision making for the operational unit.
Qualifications Education: • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a focus in Science or Engineering.
Experience and Skills: Required: • Minimum five (5) years of manufacturing experience in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment.
• Extensive experience managing direct reports and/or teams.
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written), strong communication skills, and the ability to influence in all directions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Preferred: • Experience working in sterile biological and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
• Operational Excellence and/or Lean Manufacturing experience, training, or certification.
• Experience with electronic batch records.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Other: • This role may require up to 10% domestic or international travel.
• This role is expected to be on site 5 days per week with no remote work opportunities.
• Ability to accommodate shift work (including evenings/weekends) and unplanned overtime with little to no notice as required by manufacturing operations.
