Overview
As the Sr Director, Global Media Investment Strategy, you will own and architect the global investment framework that powers SharkNinja’s media engine. This is a high-impact leadership role for a financially rigorous, strategically minded leader who can drive enterprise-level investment governance while enabling agile, performance-based decision-making at scale.
You will establish the standards, systems, and partnerships that ensure every media dollar is allocated with precision and accountability. Working across enterprise functions and global markets, you will translate investment intelligence into competitive advantage for SharkNinja.
Responsibilities
Investment Management & Governance
• Own and manage the global marketing and media budget, ensuring optimal allocation across enterprise priorities, seasonal initiatives, and core business drivers.
• Define and lead a globally consistent investment governance model enabling transparency, accountability, and performance tracking.
• Design and implement an agile investment operating model that enables real-time decisioning based on performance signals.
• Partner with Finance and Commercial teams to align investment with revenue-driving priorities.
Enterprise Partnerships & Agency Management
• Lead enterprise-level partnerships including DAAs, JBPs, and strategic platform agreements.
• Oversee global agency contracts and negotiations to unlock efficiencies and value-added opportunities.
• Standardize tools, processes, and reporting frameworks to enhance investment efficiency and scalability.
• Uncover and unlock incremental business value through media partnerships.
Innovation & Future Readiness
• Stay ahead of media trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and future-proof media investment.
• Pilot new platforms, new first to market opportunities, and ad tech solutions to expand reach and engagement
• Lead media transformation initiatives that enhance agility, efficiency, and impact.
• Uncover and unlock incremental business value through media partnerships
Cross-Functional Leadership
• Serve as the primary media investment lead across internal teams including Marketing, Social, Finance, and Commercial
• Build a global investment leadership framework, while connecting and integrating the local teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and market nuance.
• Collaborate with in-house and external partners to ensure seamless execution of enterprise investment strategies.
Team Leadership & Influence
• Lead and mentor a high-performing global media investment team, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability.
• Act as a key member of the senior media leadership team, providing expert investment insights to guide strategic decisions.
• Present investment strategies and performance updates to executive leadership with clarity and influence.
What You’ll Bring
Qualifications
• 12+ years of experience in media investment, financial planning, or marketing operations—ideally in product technology, CPG, or high-growth consumer categories.
• Proven track record managing large global budgets and driving ROI improvements.
• Experience building agile investment models and dynamic budget frameworks.
• Strong financial acumen including forecasting, ROI modeling, and performance measurement.
• Expertise in agency management, contract negotiation, and enterprise partnerships.
• Experience in multinational, matrixed organizations with a proven ability to drive operational transformation.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• A passion for innovation, a bias for action, and a track record of driving measurable business growth through media investment.
Experience:
• Global budget oversight at a Fortune 500 or high-growth brand.
• Led investment governance or transformation at scale – e.g., implementing global budgeting systems, consolidating agency relationships, and building JBPs.
• Demonstrated success in driving measurable business impact through media investment optimization.
