Now Hiring Substitute Licensed School Bus Drivers First Student is seeking   experienced, fully licensed School Bus Drivers   for substitute driving opportunities supporting   HTS, field, athletic, and charter work . This position is designed for experienced drivers who already possess the required CDL and school bus qualifications and are looking for flexible driving opportunities. Your Day as a Substitute School Bus Driver May Include • Safely transporting students for   HTS, field, athletic, and charter assignments • Supervising boarding and unloading and assisting students as needed • Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Maintaining a safe and orderly environment on the bus • Reporting mechanical or safety concerns promptly • Following all traffic laws, DOT requirements, and company safety standards • Communicating professionally with students, families, school staff, dispatch, and other First Student team members • Providing dependable coverage based on operational needs and available assignments

Required Qualifications • Must be at least 21 years old • Must possess a   valid CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements • Must be qualified to operate a school bus without an air brake restriction, when applicable • Previous school bus driving experience preferred • Must meet all applicable DOT and First Student safety requirements

Please note: This opportunity is intended for candidates who are already fully licensed and qualified to operate a school bus. Pay varies based on the type of assignment. HTS, field, and athletic work pays $36.18 per hour. Charter work pays $25.26 per hour. DOT Requirement This position is subject to DOT drug testing as a safety-sensitive employee. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.
