Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.   Job Description: We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented self-starter with a passion for supporting the Space Situational Awareness (SSA) mission as a SSA Subject Matter Expert. In this role, you will support highly visible projects supporting space situational awareness and space domain awareness capabilities. You will provide subject matter expertise to our customers and engineering teams in support of the development of data standards, data flows, and supporting analytics. You will also contribute to the development of the overall test strategy for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data products, conduct research on critical aspects of the overall design of the system, and utilize your considerable knowledge and experience in orbital analysis and astrodynamics to assist in delivering this critical capability.

Duties and Responsibilities • Provide subject matter expertise to project stakeholders in support of the refinement of data and message standards, data flows and data formats • Assist with the development of the overall test strategy for the verification and validation of SSA related system data • Research and present findings related to various technical issues and challenges • Provide oversight and support to other space SMEs and systems engineers • Prepare and present materials to internal and external stakeholders • Support business growth initiatives via contract proposals, attendance at customer meetings and conferences, and one-on-one engagements as needed

Required Skills • Bachelor’s degree with at least 15 years of industry related experience as an astrodynamics engineer, space systems engineer or orbital analyst • Strong background in astrodynamics with deep understanding of data formats for messages related to orbit determination and conjunction assessment including CDMs, CSMs, OCMs and ODMs • Knowledge of the foundational concepts of orbit determination, orbit propagation, conjunction assessment and DoD CONOPS supporting the SSA mission • Experience with verification and validation testing related to the OD and/or CA mission areas • Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Must be creative, flexible and willing to work with constantly changing priorities • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision • Demonstrated leadership experience with a servant leadership mindset • Ability and willingness to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment • Possess a strong work ethic that is focused on delivering exceptional results, sometimes on tight deadlines • Possesses personal integrity and a positive attitude • Possesses strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Must have strong communication skills including an ability to effectively present complex concepts in a clear and understandable way with teammates and customers • Must be a US Citizen due to support of US government contracts

Salary Range: $134,100.00 - $241,400.00
