The role:

SoFi is seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and detail-oriented Direct Mail Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. This role is responsible for driving the operational execution of SoFi's Direct Mail program by partnering closely with Marketing Data Science Marketing Data Science with precision and efficiency.

This is not a traditional project management role. Success requires someone who understands campaign strategy, can independently translate business discussions into actionable execution plans, exercises sound judgment in a fast-moving environment, and proactively identifies opportunities to improve how we operate as the Direct Mail program continues to scale.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable managing cross-functional initiatives, optimizing operational processes, leveraging AI-enabled workflows, and maintaining exceptional attention to detail across every stage of campaign execution.

What you’ll do:

This role owns four core areas of responsibility:

Project Management of Campaign Execution

• Own end-to-end project management for monthly Direct Mail campaigns, serving as the primary project manager for all campaign-related data operations and ensuring schedules, mail matrix, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables are executed on time.

• Partner closely Marketing Data Science to build campaign execution schedules that align with business priorities, targeting strategies, and production timelines.

• Create, manage, and continuously refine project plans and JIRA tickets throughout the campaign lifecycle, ensuring work is accurately scoped, prioritized, quality checked, and completed before handoff.

• Lead cross-functional execution by translating business discussions into real-time updates to project plans, JIRA tickets, timelines, and stakeholder priorities, ensuring teams remain aligned as campaign requirements evolve.

• Drive cross-functional accountability by coordinating approvals, tracking deliverables, identifying risks, and ensuring teams remain aligned throughout campaign execution.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Iterations for Improvement

• Continuously evaluate campaign operations to identify risks, process gaps, and opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and execution quality.

• Partner with Marketing Data Science and external vendors to optimize workflows, scheduling and campaign execution as program complexity grows.

• Develop, document, and maintain SOPs, DACIs, and other operational documentation to standardize and support direct mail execution.

• Help evolve the Direct Mail operating model by implementing scalable solutions, managing Agency of Record assignments, and driving operational consistency across campaign workstreams.

• Champion operational innovation by continuously evaluating and adopting new technologies, AI capabilities, and automation solutions that simplify processes, reduce manual effort, and enable the Direct Mail program to scale efficiently while maintaining executional excellence.

Campaign Operations, Reporting & Quality Assurance

• Leverage campaign and operational data insights to identify trends, resolve process gaps, and partner with Marketing Data Science to continuously improve campaign processes and operational accuracy.

• Own the creation, maintenance, and quality control of campaign planning documentation, reporting, and large-scale mail matrices, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and readiness for campaign execution.

• Provide internal stakeholders and external vendors with campaign requirements for seven plus products including audience strategy unique by product, mail quantities, cell codes, drop dates, and timelines, and perform quality assurance across all campaign deliverables before launch.

• Maintain recurring reports, Direct Mail performance dashboards, attribution reporting, and performance actuals, delivering accurate campaign insights that support decision-making across products and feed into campaign planning test and learn loop.

AI-Enabled Workflows

• Leverage AI tools to streamline project management, documentation, reporting, and repetitive operational workflows, improving efficiency while maintaining accuracy and quality.

• Stay current on evolving AI technologies and spearhead recommendations that enhance team productivity and execution quality to efficiently and effectively support program growth.

• Champion thoughtful adoption of AI-enabled workflows to continue iterating and improving the Direct Mail program while maintaining appropriate oversight and a high standard of operational excellence.
