Job Description: We are searching for the best talent to join our team as the Senior Manager, Establis h ed Products and Cross-TA Communications & Public Affairs to be located in New Brunswick, NJ.

Position Summary  

The Senior Manager, Established Products & External Affairs Communications will support communications strategy and execution for Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine’s global established products portfolio, with a focus on issues preparedness and response, divestitures, product transitions, and lifecycle landmarks in priority markets. This ro le will also accelerate enterprise priorities that feature the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (OCMO) and connect across therapeutic area needs. The Senior Manager will serve as a flexible strategic resource across established products, Neuroscience and Cardiopulmonary priorities as business needs evolve .   

Key Responsibilities  

Global Established Products Communications  

• Provide communications counsel for global established products priority moments across key markets, including divestitures, delistings, product transitions, regulatory breakthroughs, label updates, and other lifecycle events.   

• Serve as a central liaison with global Therapeutic Area communications teams and relevant partners to track and assess upcoming established products landmarks, determine where proactive communications or issues support is needed, and help coordinate the right level of response.  

• Develop and continuously improve playbooks, templates, message maps, trackers, and governance processes that build a scalable and repeatable communications model for the Established Products.  

Office of Chief Medical Officer   • C onnect broader enterprise reputation platforms , external engagement priorities and proof-point storytelling to OCMO’s work and priorities ; ensure alignment and appropriate visibility.  

• Lead communications strategy and execution for enterprise awards platforms, including the Johnson Medals and Dr. Paul Janssen Award, ensuring these programs reinforce J&J’s reputation and dedication to scientific excellence, innovation and patient impact .  

• Develop and lead externa l communications plans, timelines, messaging , announcement s , amplification plans and post-event storytelling.  

• Measure and gather takeaways from enterprise awards communications to improve future planning, engagement and reputational impact .  

Cross- TA Collaboration  

• Operate a s a f lexible c ross-T A   resource based on business priorities and cycle needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and relevant communication flows.  

Qualifications & Experience  

• Bachelor’s degree required; communications, public affairs, public health, policy, business, science or related field preferred.  

• 8+ years of proven experience in healthcare communications, public affairs, corporate reputation, product communications, executive communications , cross-TA communications, issues management or agency/advisory roles.  

• Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, healthcare or other highly regulated industries; experience with medical affairs, established products, lifecycle management, portfolio communications, therapeutic area communications or scientific awards preferred.  

• Demonstrated ability to identify reputational opportunities, shape external narratives, support leader visibility and translate complex scientific, medical, regulatory or business information for external audiences.  

• Strong writing, editing, message development, project management skills, with the ability to develop clear audience-appropriate materials.  

• Proven track record to operate in a global organization, align multiple partners, manage approvals and deliver high-quality work.

• Demonstrated ability to connect priorities across therapeutic areas, functions and regions, ensuring messages are integrated, strategically aligned and adaptable for different audiences and markets.  

• Good judgment, discretion, attention to detail and comfort supporting senior leaders on sensitive or high-visibility reputation, awards, issues and business development communications priorities.
