As the oldest and largest Line of Business at Capital One, US Card is the engine that powers our enterprise. Within US Card, the Customer Services & Strategy teams don’t just maintain the status quo—we are actively rewriting the playbook for how a modern bank operates. We build technology-led, data-driven products across Fraud, Recoveries, Collections, and Digital Servicing to deliver personalized, empathetic customer experiences at a massive scale.
Join the engine room of Capital One’s customer experience. We are seeking strategic, technically-minded Product Managers to lead mission-critical platforms that power billions of interactions. From managing massive data ecosystems to building the interfaces our global agents use every day, you will drive the "under-the-hood" innovation that makes seamless banking possible.
We currently have multiple high-impact roles and are seeking high-caliber Senior Associate Product Managers to join our team. By applying to this role, you will be considered for critical initiatives across our core ecosystems. While each role has a unique focus, they all share a common goal: building scalable, well-managed, and data-driven solutions.
As a Senior Associate PdM, you will own the translation of grand business vision into flawless technical execution. Depending on the role, your day-to-day will include: • Platform & Data Modernization: Partner with Tech and Data Engineering to decommission legacy systems, refine next-gen data products, and build robust, foundational data capabilities.
• Strategic Roadmapping: Define the MVP, ruthlessly prioritize the post-migration backlog, and build airtight business cases for what your team should tackle next and why.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the ultimate bridge between Business Analysts, Tech, Ops, Risk, and Design to deliver transformative customer outcomes.
• Risk & Controls Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement a modernized suite of preventative controls directly into our platform architecture.
About the Roles
Here are just a couple of examples of our open Product Management roles: • Card Recoveries Platform: Help us deliver the next generation of the Recoveries platform that is the foundation of our $3 billion Recoveries business. Your work on this platform will help accelerate new product launches, increase recovery rates, and meaningfully change the trajectory of our customers’ path back to credit.
• Payments and Offers Capabilities: Our Customer Resiliency offer programs serve as the vital framework through which we empower customers to resolve outstanding balances, frequently by extending significant concessions to those facing the most acute financial pressures. With millions of individuals engaging with these programs annually, your work will directly impact a massive population, guiding them through periods of instability toward a future of sustainable credit health.
• Agent & Customer Assist Platform (AI & Servicing): Accelerate the evolution of our comprehensive, AI-leveraged source of truth for all Card servicing policies. You’ll build and scale the intelligent tooling that empowers agents and digital channels to assist millions of customers daily.
• Credit Bureau Disputes: Drive delivery for our Card Credit Bureau Disputes team, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and frictionless user experiences during critical financial moments.
• Fraud & Disputes Back Office: Help drive the core backend technology that facilitates the intake, management, and resolution of Capital One customers’ problems with their transactions. In this role you will lead the strategy and delivery, define overarching product priorities, align on definitions of success, and partner with others across the team to ruthlessly prioritize backlog and build airtight business cases for what your team should tackle next and why, and more.
In these roles, you’ll learn the essentials of being a product manager, and we’ll invest in you to grow in four key areas : • Human Centered • You’ll collaborate with tech teams to build comprehensive acceptance criteria, identifying and elevating any need for additional research to define future feature design
• You'll breakdown business epics into features and further into user stories, driving your team towards lowest effort or Minimal Viable Product (MVP) for a valid feature test
• Business Focused • Demonstrating a growth mindset, you’ll effectively use hypothesis-driven assessment of data to ensure your product or feature delivers on real business needs
• You’ll own and prioritize feature development roadmaps, ensuring all necessary processes and procedures are followed to manage risk
• Technology Driven • You’ll work autonomously in an agile environment, to conduct research and develop features that utilize new and evolving technology
• You’ll collaborate with designers, technologists, data scientists and subject-matter experts to build cutting edge solutions to help customers
• You’ll deliver well-managed product platforms for customers by seeking to understand technology trends and architecture strategy
• Transformational Leadership • By actively participating in horizontal forums, you’ll harness a network of trusted relationships among tech teams, designers, key internal stakeholders and partner teams
• You’ll articulate a succinct product roadmap to deliver business value and share with with stakeholders, elevating your team’s results and becoming a product matter expert
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or military experience
• At least 1 year of product management experience or at least 1 year of experience in product design, agile delive
