About this role

General Purpose

Seeking a Regional Health and Wellness Director for our senior living Pacific Northwest Region serving Washington, Oregon, Montana and South Carolina. The Regional Health and Wellness Director is a Registered Nurse (RN) who provides clinical oversight, guidance, and support to the Health and Wellness Directors and teams within assigned senior living communities. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality resident care, promotes clinical excellence, and ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards. The Regional Health and Wellness Director plays a key role in maintaining resident health and wellness, managing clinical operations, and supporting community leadership. Candidates with experience in assisted living and memory care will be prioritized, as well as those who live in Washington or Oregon, the primary locations for our communities on this region. Travel is required up to 3-4 days/week, depending on community needs. A successful candidate can expect a wage of $130,000-150,000, plus full-time benefits with PACS.

Essential Duties

Clinical Oversight and Support: • Provide clinical expertise and support to community Health and Wellness Directors and other healthcare staff.

• Conduct regular site visits to assess clinical operations, resident care, and regulatory compliance.

• Monitor resident assessments, care plans, and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Provide guidance on complex clinical issues, including resident health changes, medication management, and care coordination.

• Ensure consistent implementation of company clinical policies, procedures, and best practices across the region.

Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance: • Ensure all communities within the region operate in full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to resident care and services.

• Conduct audits of resident records, medication administration, and other clinical processes to ensure compliance.

• Assist communities in preparing for and responding to regulatory surveys and inspections.

• Identify and address areas for improvement in clinical care and quality.

• Monitor and analyze clinical quality metrics and implement strategies to improve outcomes.

Education and Training: • Provide ongoing education and training to community Health and Wellness staff on clinical best practices, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

• Develop and implement regional training programs to enhance staff competency and skills.

• Ensure that all staff maintain required certifications and licenses.

• Serve as a clinical resource for community staff and provide guidance on resident care issues.

Resident Care and Advocacy: • Champion a resident-centered approach to care, promoting resident dignity, independence, and choice.

• Monitor resident satisfaction with health and wellness services and implement strategies to enhance the resident experience.

• Collaborate with community leadership to address resident and family concerns related to clinical care.

• Ensure that residents' healthcare needs are met through effective care coordination and communication with physicians and other healthcare providers.

Leadership and Management: • Provide leadership and direction to community Health and Wellness Directors, fostering a culture of clinical excellence and teamwork.

• Mentor and coach Health and Wellness Directors, supporting their professional development.

• Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of Health and Wellness Directors and other clinical staff.

• Collaborate with other regional leaders to ensure alignment of clinical and operational goals.

• Represent the company's clinical philosophy and standards in interactions with external stakeholders.

Supervisory Requirements

The Regional Health and Wellness Director will lead through influence. While not having any direct reports, this position may be responsible for supporting and managing several levels of clinical employees either directly or indirectly.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience • Registered Nurse (RN) with a current, unencumbered license in the state[s] of practice.

• 5 to 10 years of experience in senior living, assisted living, or long-term care, with progressive clinical leadership experience.

• Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to senior living and resident care.

• Demonstrated expertise in clinical assessment, care planning, and medication management.

• Strong leadership, management, and supervisory skills.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and manage multiple priorities.

• Proficiency in PCC and electronic health records (EHR) systems and other relevant technology.

• Willingness to travel within the assigned region on a regular basis.

Preferred Location: H ome base in Washington or Oregon

Physical Demands

The essential functions of this role require the ability to regularly stand and walk for extended periods, frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and reach, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds with assistance. The position demands strong manual dexterity for tasks like medication administration and charting, clear verbal communication, acute vision for close tasks and safety, and the ability to hear alarms and instructions. Furthermore, quick mobility is essential for emergency response throughout the facility.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000 annually depending on job related experience
