Job Description Summary                 The processing operator operates and adjusts all process equipment for smooth and productive operations; monitors lineflow and waste; corrects problems which affect quality and production costs; and makes line changes as directed by the production lead or team leader. Job Description • Maintains safe work practices at all times and participates in safety programs.  

• Changes water knives as needed.  

• Performs waste evaluations and changes grader screens as needed.  

• Operates equipment and makes adjustments as needed.  

• Maintains even lineflow.  

• Monitors and maintains product quality and attributes.  

• Communicates with other personnel:  line status, quality, and other problems.   

• Must understand function and hazards of various cleaning chemicals, and must be able to perform various product testing procedures.   

• Must be able to work independently.  

• Shoveling product spills.  

• Completes production forms as required.  

• Enters checks into computer.  

​ OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:   • Sanitation of area.  

• Breaking of other areas.  

• Performs weekend cleanup as assigned.  

• Performs and participates in AMD drumbeats

Basic & Preferred Qualifications Education/ Certifications:   (Required & Preferred)  

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred   

• Lock-out/Tag-out, Forklift, and Sanitation certification are   required . If you are not qualified, you will be trained and must meet certification requirements.   

Skills and Experience:   

• Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral. ( Requirement   may vary by location).   

• Experience driving forklift in warehouse or manufacturing establishment preferred .    

• Must be able to be qualified within   time frames   established   by   facility .   

• Ability to perform basic math   functions,   required .   

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.   

Physical Environment/Demands:  

• Ability to   lift up   to   50   pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently .    

• Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot   to   cold in temperature  

• Exposure to manufacturing environments for up to 8 hours per   work day   to include:  loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke,   smells   and allergies    

• Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements   required   for job actions and procedures .    

• Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment .    

• Requires manual dexterity, overall   coordination   and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties .    Ability to   operate   work related equipment  

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  

• Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Freezer Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Plant Operation  

• May have to sample food while evaluating Lamb Weston products  

• Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis
