We are pioneering innovative TAVR therapies that provide minimally invasive treatment options for patients with aortic valve disease. The Principal CoreValve Therapy Development Specialist provides technical, clinical, educational and sales support to ensure safe adoption and growth of the Medtronic CoreValve System and future catheter-based therapy technologies. The CoreValve Therapy Development Specialist works closely with implanting teams and the Medtronic Catheter-based Therapies (CBT) and CVG field organizations to drive procedural and practice success.
• Provide expert clinical and technical support for TAVR and TAVI procedures, supporting valve preparation and deployment, and ensuring adherence to trial protocols, instructions for use, and best practices to optimize patient outcomes.
• Collaborate and educate with physicians, hospital staff, and Medtronic partners to deliver education, conduct in-services, drive safe program growth, communicate clinical evidence, and support territory business plans and sales objectives .
CoreValve Therapy Development Specialists must have the ability to work outside of normal business hours. Territory for this role: Minneapolis/St Paul. Candidates must reside within the assigned territory and be able to travel to multiple customer accounts throughout the region up to 80% of the time; a valid driver's license, active insurance is required for this role. In addition, the final candidate must have a driving record that meets company standards.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities are to be performed as appropriate in clinical trial case support and/or case support following commercial approval, depending upon the approval status of the product at the time.
• Deliver clinical and technical leadership for TAVR procedures, including case planning, procedural support, CT reconstruction and measurement analysis, and expertise across imaging modalities and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Develop and maintain deep knowledge of TAVR technology, clinical data, competitive products, and industry trends while partnering with internal stakeholders to support innovation and future product development.
• Partner with therapy consultants, managers, and cross-functional partners to execute territory business plans, support growth initiatives, identify opportunities, and communicate market intelligence.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, administrators, and healthcare teams by delivering exceptional customer support, resolving issues, and ensuring a high level of service within assigned accounts.
• Manage operational and compliance activities, including inventory support, vendor credentialing requirements, product complaint reporting, quality initiatives, and onboarding and mentoring new team members.
• Operate effectively in demanding clinical settings requiring the use of computers and CT reconstruction software, independent mobility, the ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and extended periods of computer-based work.
• Maintain safety and readiness in environments with exposure to radiation, bloodborne pathogens, and infectious diseases, including wearing required PPE and lead aprons for procedures averaging 2-3 hours.

Required Qualifications
• A High School Diploma plus 11+ OR associate’s degree and 9 + OR Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years clinical or sales experience; selling or supporting interventional cardiology, vascular or surgical products, with at leas
• 3 + years of such experience in an industry setting
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business or science
• Experience with wires, balloons, catheters, stents
• Exceptional understanding of cardiac and vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology
• Experience communicating product’s market advantages to physicians and hospital administration
• Experience teaching and educating medical personnel, peers and technical support personnel
• Imaging interpretation experience (TTE or Trans Esophageal Echocardiography (TEE), CT, Angiograms)
• Echocardiology background highly preferred
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
