About the role
The Solutions Engineer, Defense & CMMC will serve as Secureframe’s pre-sales technical and domain expert for customers operating across the defense industrial base.
You will partner closely with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle, helping prospective customers understand their CMMC readiness needs, define the boundaries of their regulated environments, and evaluate how Secureframe can support their compliance program. You will translate complex requirements involving CUI, FCI, NIST SP 800-171, evidence collection, remediation, and assessment readiness into practical solution designs and compelling product demonstrations.
This role requires more than general compliance knowledge. We are looking for someone who can establish credibility with security, IT, compliance, and executive stakeholders; navigate technically complex customer environments; and help Secureframe build a differentiated Defense and CMMC sales motion.
You will also serve as a critical liaison among Sales, Implementation, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and our partner ecosystem. Your insights will improve deal qualification, implementation scoping, product capabilities, sales enablement, and the overall customer journey from initial discovery through CMMC readiness.
This role is remote from the United States.
Secureframe highly values having employees working in-office to foster a collaborative work environment and company culture. For office-based employees -- employees who live within a defined radius of a Secureframe office -- Secureframe considers working in the office approximately 30% of the time under current policy to be an essential function of the role.
