Information Technology Department  

The Information Technology Department architects and operates the digital foundation powering Vantage Data Centers' global operations while pioneering the intelligent transformation of how we work. Our integrated IT/AI organization delivers enterprise-grade infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and end-user services with operational excellence, while simultaneously developing artificial intelligence capabilities that drive measurable business value. Position Overview  

This position can be based remotely in the United States.

The Navigator, IT & Security , Global   serves as a trusted advisor and discovery catalyst embedded within Vantage’s IT & Security function. This role acts as the critical bridge between business operations and AI possibilities, translating operational friction points into validated opportunities for AI-driven transformation. Rather than managing programs or building solutions, this Navigator discovers, validates, and prepares high-impact AI opportunities for rapid prototyping by the Accelerators team.  Operating as an embedded AI business partn er, this role focuses on AI-driven transformation within Vantage’s IT infrastructure and cybersecurity functions. This Navigator serves as the embedded business partner for IT and Security teams, identifying opportunities where AI can strengthen security posture, optimize IT service delivery, enhance threat detection and response, and improve the technology experience for all Vantage employees while maintaining the rigorous security standards required of a critical infrastructure provider.  This position re presents the front line of Vantage’s AI transformation within IT & Security, where strategic vision meets operational reality. Success requires equal parts business acumen, technical fluency, and the interpersonal skills to build trust across diverse stakeholders who may be skeptical, curious, or enthusiastic about AI’s potential.

Essential Job Functions  

• Embed within IT & Security teams to build trusted relationships with IT leaders, security architects, infrastructure engineers, and service desk management, becoming the go-to resource for AI opportunity identification across technology and cybersecurity operations.  

• Conduct structured discovery sessions to map current state workflows across IT service management, cybersecurity operations, infrastructure monitoring, identity and access management, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management, identifying where AI can enhance detection, response, and operational efficiency.  

• Translate IT and security challenges into preliminary AI use cases, assessing feasibility against available SIEM data, IT service management records, infrastructure telemetry, and threat intelligence feeds.  

• Validate AI opportunities through rapid assessment of business value potential, evaluating impact on mean time to detect/respond, incident volume reduction, service desk efficiency, infrastructure availability, and security posture improvements.  

• Develop detailed intake documentation capturing technology and security context, data source inventory from SIEM/ITSM/monitoring platforms, integration requirements, security classification, and success criteria for the Accelerators team.  

• Maintain deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, IT service management best practices, and the unique security requirements of data center operators who serve as critical infrastructure providers.  

• Champion responsible AI principles in security contexts, ensuring proposed solutions maintain appropriate security controls, avoid creating new attack surfaces, and include human oversight for critical security decisions.  

• Build a champion network within IT & Security, identifying security analysts, infrastructure engineers, and service desk leads who can validate AI concepts against real-world operational scenarios.
