Purpose The Mechatronics Test Engineer is needed for hands-on prototyping and testing of testbeds and subsystems for next generation semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities • Design, fabrication, assembly of mechatronic testbeds for novel semiconductor subsystems. • Verification & Test of built subsystems and testbeds. • Data collection and analysis for quality control. • Requirements verification and testing. • Creating and maintaining up-to-date models of the above equipment systems. • Spec and Procurement of various equipment sub-systems. • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications • Mechatronics Test Engineer I: At least 4 years of prior work experience in electrical/mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, test and measurement, or other relevant disciplines

• Mechatronics Test Engineer II: At least 6 years of prior work experience in electrical/mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, test and measurement, or other relevant disciplines

• Mechatronics Test Engineer III: At least 8 years of prior work experience in electrical/mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, test and measurement, or other relevant disciplines

For all levels: • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, or relevant disciplines • Hands-on and well versed in using hand tools, assembly, bring-up and testing • ​ Experience writing and maintaining test scripts/programs and data analysis • Troubleshooting and electro-mechanical system debugging experience • Basic experience with PLC’s (Beckhoff, Allen Bradley or similar) • Basic CAD experience (CREO, SolidWorks or similar) • Basic PCB design experience (Altium Designer or similar) • Goal oriented and ability to prioritize and multitask • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work well in teams

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications • Master’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, or relevant disciplines • More than 4 years of prior work experience in electrical/mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, controls, test and measurement, or other relevant disciplines • Prior experience in one or more of the following areas: nanofabrication, precision machine design, mechatronics, systems and controls, instrumentation, optical systems design

Salary Range TIE Pays Industry Competitive Salaries

Work Shift Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.
