THE JOB: The primary purpose of the Manager of Live Events, Operations is to oversee the planning, logistical coordination, and on-site execution of a diverse portfolio of sports and entertainment events, pro-ams, activations, and hospitality experiences. This role serves as the primary backstage contact for key cross-functional partners—including Conversions, Security, Guest Services, and Décor Production. As well as the Game Operations logistics, including but not limited to officials, floor staff, clock & scoreboard staff, stats crew, etc. The ideal candidate possesses a strong expertise in event logistics to ensure every event meets MGMRI's premier standards of excellence.

THE DAY-TO-DAY: • Lead the detailing of event logistics including event notes, room layouts, furniture requests, staffing assignments and guidelines, media centers, and credential assignments

• Serve as a primary on-site operational contact for venue departments including but not limited to security, guest services, and conversions

• Lead the game operations including hiring and overseeing operational floor staff including but not limited to officials, floor staff, clock & scoreboard staff, stats crew, replay, and timing

• Act as the onsite liaison for sports teams and event partners including facilitating event manuals, practice requests, laundry needs, hydration stations, locker room changeovers, bench management and overall day-to-day movements

• Work closely with MGMRI event partners to ensure alignment over event objectives and budgets

• Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations

• Ensures all project elements are communicated in a timely and comprehensive manner across all MGMRI Center of Excellence (COE) groups (property leadership, executive teams, finance, marketing, risk, casino marketing, revenue management, etc.)

• Work alongside internal and external décor companies to elevate event builds

• Ancillary Events: Plan and execute secondary event programming within the larger tournament footprint (e.g., welcome receptions, VIP dinners, after-parties)

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: • 2+ years of prior relevant experience in entertainment, sports, events, or a related field
