Location Overview  

Cboe HQ   is   located in   the historic Old Post Office   district,   i t’ s a landmark that blends classic architecture with modern amenities. The building features expansive spaces with   high ceilings   and large windows, offering an abundance of natural light and panoramic views of the   city   skyline and the Chicago River.  

With its prime location in the heart of downtown, the OPO Building provides easy access to major transportation hubs, including Union Station and multiple CTA lines, making it convenient for commuters. The building is home to a variety of amenities, including restaurants,   a   fitness center, and collaborative workspaces, creating a vibrant and dynamic work environment in one of Chicago's most iconic areas.  

PLEASE NOTE: To support strong partnership and team connection, this role follows a four day in office work model.

Position Summary:  

US   Team   Lead   with Cboe Global Indices (CGI) .     The   CGI   team currently   research es , design s,   and implement s   new index strategies   supporting both   Cboe ’s   brand ed ind ices   and   client -owned indices .     Manager of Index Operations   coordinates   the daily   calculation ,   maintenance   and validation of CGI’s indices   in the US , includi ng client i nteraction , error handling, presenting to   index committe e s, and evaluating and building validation tools   to ensure compliance with control framework .    This role   is primarily focused on   derivatives   and will addi tio nally provide exposure to   equities.  

Duties and Responsibilities:  

Performs a combination of the following   functions :  

• Manage and expand team of index analysts   in multiple offices  

• Calculate   CGI’s US suite of indices, covering options   and equity ,   as well   a s customized   cal culations  

• Dive into calculation challenges, confirming accuracy or evaluating and fixing calculation issues be it modeling, data, or   methodology   updates   

• Support   Theoretical Options Pricing Service (TOPS) including   onboarding,   client support, and   process   enhancement  

• Responsible for team running   index validation s   and quality   assurance   checks , currently focused on scripting in   Python and   R  

• O nboard new   indices   from implementation team , including   methodology   evaluation   for operational feasibility   and   appropriate validations  

• Participate in index committee meetings to   set direction for index   methodology   enhancements , including suggesting and   assisting   with   market consultations  

• Help   establish   index calculation standards   and quality assurance   to enable repeat application   of calculation modules  

• Participate in client meetings to   show robustness of CGI calculations  

• Work   collaboratively with other Cboe departments on new index and benchmark launches,   leading   the   post-launch support   function  

• Work on   enhancement initiatives to support robust and scalable   processes   in line   with established control framework  

• Participate in regular incident review and internal postmortem, suggesting and implementing process improvement  

Experience:  

Minimum of   5   years options , equity , financial   indexing   and/or financial   markets   experience in a related capacity .     Managerial experience ( team of   2-6) preferred.  

Knowledge,   Skills   and Abilities:  

• Strong   quantitative and programming skills; experience in Python,   R,   and SQL  with preference to   Python  

• Experience with written documentation of projects  

• Strong background in index mathematics: writing, reading   methodology   formulas  

• Ability to solve non-routine problems  

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills  

• Experience in a   time sensitive environment with daily deadlines  

• Strong focus on training and onboarding new employees  

Education:  

• Bachelors   d egree   Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Scien ce or relat ed field   required      

• Advanced degree preferred. ​
