About this role

This is what you will do: The Lead, Product Training will serve as a key member of the Alexion US Training Department, responsible for supporting and executing the product training strategy that enables commercial readiness, product knowledge, and field execution excellence. This role will contribute to the design and execution of the product training roadmap across key business priorities, with a particular focus on onboarding, new product launch readiness, ongoing product capability development, competitive preparedness, and aligned customer engagement training for Field Commercial Roles.

The Lead will work across functions to ensure that product training solutions are aligned to business priorities, brand strategy, enterprise expectations, and evolving capability needs. This individual will help translate complex product, clinical, and commercial strategies into impactful learning experiences that strengthen field effectiveness, improve confidence in customer interactions, and support strong commercial execution. The role requires a balance of strategic contribution, executional excellence, stakeholder partnership, and innovation in adult learning and digital enablement.

This individual will also play an important role in evolving the overall training function by identifying opportunities to modernize product learning approaches, integrate innovative tools and technologies, and build scalable development solutions that support both immediate business needs and long-term organizational growth. A critical aspect of this role is building and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships, particularly with Marketing teams, to ensure product training is aligned with brand strategy, messaging, campaign priorities, and market dynamics.

You will be responsible for: The Lead, Product Training will: • Support product training strategy development by helping create and advance a comprehensive training roadmap aligned to Alexion US business priorities, brand strategy, organizational goals, and capability needs across Field Commercial Roles. • Design and deliver product training programs that support onboarding, launch readiness, ongoing development, competitive preparedness, and sustained commercial capability across the product lifecycle. • Partner closely with Marketing teams to align product training content, messaging, and learning priorities with brand objectives, campaign plans, customer strategies, and market evolution. • Develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with stakeholders across Commercial, Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Regulatory, and Training teams to identify capability gaps, prioritize learning needs, and support effective training solutions. • Create and execute high-impact learning experiences across instructor-led, virtual, self-directed, and digital formats, ensuring application of adult learning principles and a strong learner experience. • Ensure field commercial teams are equipped with the product knowledge, brand understanding, clinical confidence, and contextual market awareness needed to engage customers confidently, credibly, and compliantly. • Support launch readiness and lifecycle management efforts by developing training that prepares field teams for new product launches, indication expansions, competitive changes, and updated strategic priorities. • Translate complex scientific, clinical, and commercial information into practical, engaging, and scalable learning solutions tailored to field commercial audiences. • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, compliant, and aligned with enterprise expectations. • Ensure alignment of training content with compliance and quality expectations, including participation in Medical/Legal/Regulatory review processes where required, so that training materials are appropriately reviewed and approved prior to deployment. • Track and manage training completion and attendance for required learning, including Pharmacovigilance-related training, to support audit readiness, compliance expectations, and quality standards. • Partner with external vendors and consultants, when applicable, in the design, development, and delivery of learning materials, product training programs, and capability-building solutions. • Measure the effectiveness of training programs through learner feedback, field input, assessments, and other relevant data, and use insights to continuously improve training impact and value. • Conduct field observations, leader engagements, or other business immersion activities, when appropriate, to better understand learner needs, strengthen relevance of content, and identify opportunities to improve capability development. • Influence and guide stakeholders on product learning needs, launch readiness, and capability development approaches to support effective business execution. • Contribute to the evolution of the Training Department by sharing best practices and introducing innovative approaches to product training design and delivery. • Report any Pharmacovigilance events discussed during training activities and ensure compliance remains embedded in all aspects of training strategy, design, and execution. The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the above-mentioned responsibilities, as reasonably required by business needs.

You will need to have: • Bachelor’s degree in business, education, life sciences, healthcare, or a related field. • A minimum of 5-8 years of commercial training experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry. • Demonstrated experience supporting the development and execution of product training plans that align learning investments to business priorities and measurable capability outcomes. • Strong demonstrated experience building and maintaining cross-functional relationships, particularly with Marketing teams, to align
