Company: Marin General Hospital dba MarinHealth Medical Center Compensation Range: $42.56 - $63.84 Work Shift: 8 Hour (days) (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Job Description Summary: The HR Onboarding Operations Specialist serves as a strategic operational partner within Human Resources and Talent Acquisition, supporting enterprise hiring, onboarding, and workforce data integrity initiatives across MarinHealth. This role is designed to function beyond traditional transactional HR support by operating as a highly analytical, systems-oriented, and process improvement-focused resource that strengthens operational efficiency, compliance, onboarding governance, and workforce data accuracy.
This position plays a critical role in supporting Workday Recruiting, HCM, onboarding, and related HR operational workflows, while partnering closely with Talent Acquisition and Human Resources leaders, HRIS, Compensation, Payroll, Compliance, Information Technology, and operational stakeholders. The incumbent is expected to leverage advanced Workday knowledge to identify process gaps, troubleshoot onboarding and recruiting escalations, analyze root cause trends, and recommend sustainable workflow improvements that enhance the employee and hiring leader experience.
The role functions as a frontline escalation and operational support resource responsible for identifying, resolving, and preventing issues related to onboarding workflows, pre-hire transactions, worker data management, requisition routing, organizational assignments, job profile alignment, security access, and downstream integrations. This includes partnering cross-functionally to support issue resolution, data governance standards, audit readiness, and process optimization initiatives.
A key strategic objective of this role is to elevate onboarding operations from clerical processing to enterprise data stewardship. The incumbent will support the onboarding team in maintaining accurate workforce records, ensuring compliance with system standards, improving data quality, and strengthening operational integrity across the employee lifecycle. The position contributes meaningfully to operational analytics, process governance, and continuous improvement efforts designed to support organizational growth, workforce planning, and system optimization.
This role requires strong critical thinking skills, analytical capabilities, operational judgment, and the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization while managing sensitive and time-sensitive workforce matters. Job Requirements, Prerequisites and Essential Functions: Key Responsibilities • Serve as a key operational partner supporting Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and onboarding initiatives across the organization. • Provide functional support and troubleshooting for Workday Recruiting, HCM, onboarding, and related HR systems and processes. • Help identify and resolve onboarding and recruitment workflow issues by analyzing root causes and supporting process improvement efforts. • Partner collaboratively with HRIS, Payroll, Compensation, Compliance, IT, and operational leaders to support seamless workforce operations and data integrity. • Support onboarding governance and ensure accurate employee data management in alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements. • Maintain and audit workforce data within Workday and related systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance. • Monitor onboarding and recruiting operational metrics, identify trends, and support reporting and workforce planning initiatives. • Assist in developing and maintaining standardized workflows, operational procedures, job aids, and process documentation. • Support quality assurance and auditing efforts related to onboarding transactions, worker records, organizational structures, job profiles, and compliance activities. • Partner with Talent Acquisition leadership to help deliver an exceptional candidate, employee, and hiring leader experience. • Provide guidance and support to leaders and stakeholders regarding onboarding processes, recruiting workflows, and Workday functionality. • Handle sensitive employee and organizational information with a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality. • Participate in HR operational improvement initiatives, Workday optimization efforts, and enterprise process enhancement projects. • Contribute to the evolution of the onboarding function from transactional processing to strategic workforce data stewardship and operational excellence.
Job Specifications:
Education: • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related field preferred. • Minimum of three year
