Tessera   is seeking a n experienced General Maint enance   Worker   lll .   The General Maintenance Worker III (GM-3) performs skilled to highly skilled work in the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, plumbing, electrical, structural, grounds, and equipment .     

Typical duties include but are not limited to:   

• Responsible for a variety of tasks, including painting, carpentry, siding repairs/replacement, glass replacement in doors and windows, minor plumbing, masonry, concrete repairs, and minor electrical work. Clean roof drains and gutters .    

• Responsible for replacing electrical receptacles and switches, fixtures, and bathroom exhaust fan motors .      

• Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls or ceilings .    

• Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, and toilets. Caulking plumbing kitchen fixtures     

• Communicate and interact directly with the customer and supervisors, informing the customer of unexpected or   additional   repairs and   determining   customer needs.   

• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints.   

• Ensure completed work meets quality control standards.   

• Use portable handheld electronic devices to manage work .    

• Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customers and supervisors.   

• Communicate with the scheduler to update the status of repairs and estimate completion dates.  

Qualifications:    

• Highschool Diploma/GED is   required .  

• Minimum 3 years of closely related experience.  

• Knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work preferred.   

• Ability to learn a wide variety of   building   and   ground   maintenance.   

• Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods of time, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.  

Physical Requirements:  

Employees must have the ability to   perform   the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without   assistance . The physical demands of this position may be   reasonably accommodated   for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis .    

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to   70   pounds.  

• May be   required   to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.  

• Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be   required .   

• Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.  

Requirements:    

• A valid state driver’s license is   required   with the ability to obtain and   maintain   coverage by   Tessera’s   insurance.
