A FOUNDING ROLE REIMAGINING HOW TRANSACTIONS GET DONE

A venture-backed legal services company is seeking a Founding Commercial Real Estate Attorney to build and lead one of its fastest-growing practice areas. The company combines experienced attorneys with proprietary technology that reduces the manual work surrounding transactions, giving lawyers more time to exercise judgment, negotiate critical issues, and serve clients.

This attorney will lead commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions for owners, operators, investors, and repeat acquirers, with an initial focus on commercial and multifamily assets, including portfolio transactions. You will work directly with clients and manage matters from initial structuring and diligence through negotiation and closing.

This is a hands-on founding role. You will draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, oversee property-level diligence, coordinate with financing and other specialists, and remain directly accountable for the quality of the legal work. As the practice grows, you will help establish its playbooks and operating standards, improve the technology supporting transactions, and build the team around you. A book of business is not required.

The ideal candidate has at least seven years of sophisticated commercial real estate transactional experience, developed at a leading real estate practice or in-house. You have represented owners, operators, investors, or private equity sponsors and can independently lead complex matters while earning the confidence of demanding clients. Experience with portfolio transactions, joint ventures, real estate finance, or multifamily assets would be particularly valuable.

This is a rare opportunity to build a commercial real estate practice from the ground up while helping define a faster, more efficient, and more client-focused model for delivering sophisticated legal work.
