Financial Data Analyst II

Responsibilities : • Compile, organize, and analyze financial information in support of budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making processes.  This may require financial data analysis, trend recognition, and research as well as the preparation of visualizations and presentations under supervision. • Conduct data collection, normalization, validation, and reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy and completeness of data. • Assist in developing and implementing process improvements and automated solutions. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for projects. • Contribute to the maintenance and optimization of financial databases, spreadsheets, and systems. • Support senior analysts in conducting financial research and special projects.

Required Knowledge, Abilities, Skills: • Data Mining Techniques • Data Visualization • Programming for Data Analytics (e.g., Python or R) • Business Statistics • Database Management (e.g. SQL) • Financial Modeling Skills • Knowledge of Excel, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI and various coding languages (VBA, R, Python, SAS) are essential to the success of this position. • Prior experience developing and executing queries and/or reporting for data sets required. • Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions to make recommendations and communicate effectively with others in an understandable manner. • Capability to identify and document data quality issues, limitations and gaps that may exist. • Demonstration of sound judgment in actions and decision-making. • Ability to organize work effectively and follow through on work activities and deliverables. • Capacity to multi-task and work effectively with exacting deadlines. • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and evolve with an ever-changing environment. • Attention to detail.

Desired Knowledge, Abilities, Skills • A good working knowledge in financial software and tools including the Workday suite of products (Prism, Accounting Center, Adaptive Planning, Office Connect and Reporting) • Financial Accounting Principals • Managerial Accounting Techniques • Predictive Analytics • Advanced Spreadsheet Modeling • Business Intelligence Tools • Advanced Financial Accounting Concepts • Financial Statement Analysis Techniques

Required Education :  Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Accounting, Business, Finance or related Field

Desired Education : Master’s in in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Accounting, Business, Finance or related Field. CPA Certification is also acceptable

Required Relevant Experience : 2 – 5 Years
