Job purpose The BorgWarner Arden campus offers two world class technical centers and a cutting-edge manufacturing facility that designs and produces turbos, fan, and fan drive components for the automotive industry. The Arden campus offers a multitude of career opportunities and is in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.

This position will make significant contributions in cost accounting, new business proposals, general accounting requirements, and ad hoc reporting.

Key responsibilities • Supports fixed asset and general cost accounting activities for the facility • Handles various month end responsibilities such as account reconciliations and journal entries • Will support legal entity requests, IRS tax reconciliations, and annual tax schedules • Assists in completing the monthly forecast and annual long range planning processes • Supports acquisition of new customer programs through business case analysis and quoting processes. • Performs other routine duties and ad hoc reports with analysis would be required as directed by the Finance Manager. • Expected to embrace continuous improvement and make contributions towards implementing changes in our systems and processes to increase productivity. • Demonstrates effective problem solving techniques.  • Supports the role accounting/finance plays in the overall success of the business.  • Actively pursues changes in technology that may impact the long term of the business.  • Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.  • Works as an effective team player and team contributor.  • Pursues learning other aspects of the business and products.   • Provides effective customer service that is timely and accurate.  • Works with needs of a changing organization to maximize flexibility within the organization.  • Adheres to an appropriate and effective set of core values and beliefs and acts in line with those values.  • Possesses creativity and brings out creativity in others.  • Understands and adheres to current quality and control policies.  • Understands and adheres to current health, safety, and environmental policies.  Identify and close safety issues (suggestions, inspection and investigation findings) and their corrective actions. • Communicate and enforce safe work procedures. • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

What we’re looking for • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent discipline preferred • SAP and OneStream software applications knowledge highly preferred • 3-5 years related work experience in Accounting, preferably in a Manufacturing Setting, is preferred • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) • Must have the ability to process significant amounts of data entry in a timely and accurately manner. • Attendance on the job is essential. • Must be able to work in a team environment. • Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.
