The McKesson Finance Leadership Program (FLP) is a two-year rotational development program designed to attract, develop, and retain high-potential Finance talent with the capability and aspiration to become future leaders within McKesson.
FLP Associates complete four six-month rotations across Corporate Finance, business-unit Finance, and other strategic Finance functions. Through these experiences, Associates build broad enterprise perspective, strengthen technical and leadership capabilities, develop business acumen, and gain exposure to diverse teams, leaders, and business challenges across McKesson.
In addition to rotational assignments, FLP Associates participate in structured development programming, coaching, networking, executive exposure, and other experiences designed to accelerate their growth as Finance professionals and leaders.
Rotational assignments are based on business needs and individual development opportunities and may include areas such as FP&A, Controllership, Internal Audit, Customer Finance, Strategy, Transformation, and other Corporate or business-unit Finance functions.
FLP Associates may be responsible for: • Partnering with Finance and business leaders to analyze performance, identify trends, and provide insights that support business decisions • Developing financial models, forecasts, dashboards, reporting, and other decision-support tools • Supporting planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance-management activities • Translating financial and operational data into clear insights and recommendations for stakeholders • Leading projects or workstreams and managing deliverables, timelines, stakeholders, and cross-functional coordination • Evaluating current processes and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, controls, transparency, or business outcomes • Supporting the development and implementation of new Finance processes, systems, reporting tools, automation, or digital capabilities • Building relationships across Finance and the broader business to understand stakeholder needs and strengthen business partnership • Preparing and delivering analyses, recommendations, and presentations to Finance and business leaders • Applying sound judgment, curiosity, and problem-solving skills to ambiguous or evolving business challenges • Taking ownership of individual development by actively seeking feedback, building relationships, and pursuing experiences that strengthen leadership and Finance capabilities • Contributing to the day-to-day priorities and strategic objectives of each rotational team
Program Experience FLP Associates will have opportunities to: • Complete four diverse six-month Finance rotations • Gain exposure to multiple areas of McKesson and its Finance organization • Work directly with Finance leaders and cross-functional stakeholders • Participate in structured leadership and professional development • Receive ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance support • Build relationships with FLP peers, alumni, mentors, and senior leaders • Develop technical, business, and leadership capabilities through meaningful work assignments • Build a broad foundation for long-term career opportunities within McKesson Finance
Minimum Requirements • Strong financial and business acumen • Recent MBA graduate with a concentration or focus in Finance or a related discipline • Demonstrated leadership experience • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills • Ability to build relationships and work effectively across teams and organizational levels • Demonstrated initiative, learning agility, and ability to operate in changing or ambiguous environments • Must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Knowledge & Skills Candidates should demonstrate: • Preferred 2+ years of prior experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, or another analytical field • Strategic and analytical thinking • Sound judgment and ability to translate analysis into actionable recommendations • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment • Curiosity and willingness to learn new businesses, functions, and areas of Finance • Ability to influence and collaborate across functions without direct authority • Commitment to continuous improvement and use of data, technology, and digital tools to improve Finance outcomes • Executive-level communication and presentation skills • Commitment to integrity, accountability, and McKesson’s values • Interest in building a long-term career within McKesson Finance

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
