The Field Director, Medical Affairs Oncology, will serve as a scientific peer within the gynecologic oncology medical community and the broader oncology medical community. Reporting to the Vice President, Medical Affairs, the Field Director is responsible for developing and strengthening professional relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), professional organizations, and patient advocacy groups. This individual will lead the U.S. Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team in support of the Lifyorli® (Relacorilant) launch in platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. As a key member of the Medical Affairs Leadership Team (MALT), the Field Director will contribute to launch and development efforts, maintain fiscal responsibility, drive innovation, and ensure the successful execution of Medical Affairs strategy. The Field Director will embody the mission, vision, and values of the Medical Affairs organization and the broader Oncology Business Unit.

Responsibilities:

• Model and promote Corcept’s key principles: collaborating effectively, embracing possibilities, following the data, and leading by doing, to build a culture of accountability, innovation, and trust

• Demonstrate medical leadership and expertise by engaging in peer-to-peer interactions within the gynecological oncology community. Develop the KOL engagement plan. Lead the MSL plan to establish and build relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), professional organizations, and patient organizations

• Raise awareness for the role of glucocorticoid receptor antagonism in oncology. Communicate scientific evidence related to Corcept oncology programs and advance the Corcept oncology scientific platform

• Deliver clinical presentations and communicate scientific data in one-on-one interactions, at key medical and scientific congresses, and other forums

• Build and lead the Medical Science Liaison team in the United States in support of the Relacorilant launch in platinum resistant ovarian cancer. Encourage the growth and personal development of each MSL to contribute to job satisfaction and to retain team members

• Support field medical excellence standards, KPIs, and development frameworks

• Support the development of national oncology MSL education by the MSL field team training team. Assist with onboarding, advanced scientific training, and leadership development programs for the MSL organization

• Contribute to developing Medical Affairs strategies in support of the Relacorilant launch and oncology development programs

• Support the MSL team’s interactions with clinical operations and clinical trial investigators to support enrollment of oncology clinical trials

• Develop the plan for presence, coverage of competitive intelligence, and KOL engagement at key congresses and meetings. Mentor MSL meeting leads

• Communicate insights and issues from field interactions to internal stakeholders

• Support cross-functional alignment between Field Medical, Medical Communications, Clinical Development, Commercial, and Medical Operations

• Maintain a deep knowledge of gynecological oncology and a broad understanding of other relevant oncology indications

• Participate in the identification and publication of scientific materials

• Facilitate scientific exchange within legal, compliance and regulatory guidelines

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:

• Thorough grasp of treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, and ethical guidelines as applied to the pharmaceutical industry

• Strong track record of maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders

• Demonstrated leadership and ability to perform effectively in a dynamic environment

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, team, written and verbal communication skills

• Sound judgement in handling complex, confidential and regulated information

• Launch experience preferred

• Ability to travel up to 50-70%

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Advanced degree in a scientific or medical discipline (PharmD, MD, MSN, PhD, etc.)

• 10+ years relevant Oncology experience (clinical practice, academic, and or industry), gyne/onc preferred; and at least 7 years MSL field experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is preferred

• Direct leadership experience is required

The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position is $209,100 - $276,800; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
