Position Summary: This job is responsible for providing leadership, technical direction and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions. Key responsibilities of the job are to provide oversight of the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex computer programs, align technical solutions to business objectives, and ensure that coding practices/quality comply with software development standards. Job expectations include conducting multiple software implementations and applying both depth and breadth in knowledge of several technical competencies. We are looking for a talented Feature Lead to lead technology initiatives and BAU delivery within the Pricing team. The ideal candidate is a best-in-class, hands-on feature lead focused on databases and data who can provide thought leadership, shape technical direction for a new platform build as well as ongoing BAU needs within the Pricing team, partnering across technology and product teams to drive and influence technology decisions, solve complex challenges and deliver solutions that are reliable, observable, secure, compliant and scalable.
Responsibilities: • Designs, develops and is accountable for feature delivery • Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality • Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt • Guides the team on work breakdown and execution • Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria • Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team • Guides team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices) • Design, development and delivery of enterprise-grade applications and data solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements, architecture standards, and quality expectations. • Lead data architecture and engineering initiatives, with primary responsibility for data modeling, database design and development, and overseeing end-to-end data ingestion and egress processes to ensure scalable, reliable, and high-quality data solutions. • Collaborate with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define requirements, refine backlogs, establish clear acceptance criteria, and deliver business value. • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, guiding work breakdown, estimation, code reviews, engineering best practices, and overall execution. • Design and implement data warehousing and business intelligence solutions, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from diverse and heterogeneous data sources. • Develop, enhance, and maintain applications within the CCAPT organization, ensuring high performance, scalability, reliability, and minimal technical debt. • Partner with data and AI teams to enable governed, explainable, and role-aware intelligence, API-first and event-driven patterns. • Develop and maintain automation and operational solutions using tools/languages like Python, UNIX/Linux scripting, Alteryx, Informatica or other low-code platforms to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. • Drive software testing, validation, deployment, and release management activities, ensuring solutions meet functional, performance, and operational requirements. • Analyze system capabilities, performance requirements, and business needs to evaluate solution feasibility, define performance standards, and implement continuous improvements. • Serve as a Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing guidance on application architecture, process automation, data engineering and technology solutions across the CCAPT organization.
Required Qualifications: • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in large-scale technical or solution architecture leading data modeling and design as well as other complex, multi-team initiatives. • Hands-on technical expertise with Data Modeling, Database Design using Oracle or PostgreSQL database, expertise in expertise in PL/SQL for Oracle and PL/pgSQL for PostgreSQL, database performance tuning using applicable tools. • Deep understanding of data modeling, data quality, ingestion patterns, reference data, auditability, lineage, and reporting or analytics integration. • Experience developing and re-platforming applications to cloud-native solutions on the bank’s container platform. • Knowledge of Spring B
