TNC FieldWorks , the union field services division of The Nuclear Company, supports America’s existing nuclear fleet and the broader energy industry by delivering specialized maintenance, outage execution, technical expertise, and workforce solutions through a union craft delivery model. FieldWorks is built specifically to plan, mobilize, and execute work in union labor environments, combining experienced nuclear and energy leadership with deep technical expertise, workforce planning, labor coordination, and field execution capabilities.
Through strong partnerships with customers and union halls, FieldWorks develops and deploys highly skilled craft and specialty technical talent for complex maintenance, outage, and project-based work. Our focus extends beyond providing labor, we build trusted, high-performing crews with the technical capability, training, and leadership required to safely and successfully execute critical work across nuclear, power generation, and energy-adjacent markets.
About the role
The Manager, Electrical FieldWorks is responsible for building, leading, and growing TNC FieldWorks' electrical capabilities, with a focus on developing and deploying highly skilled union craft and specialty technical teams for complex maintenance, testing, commissioning, outage, and project work across nuclear, power generation, and energy-adjacent markets.
This role combines deep electrical expertise with crew development, customer leadership, and field execution. Working closely with customers, union halls, field personnel, and company leadership, this individual helps identify critical skill needs, build and develop high-performing crews, and establish a dependable pipeline of technical talent. As an early FieldWorks leader, the Electrical Manager will help stand up the electrical organization, develop future technical leaders, and build trusted relationships with customers, key stakeholders, and union partners.
Responsibilities
Field Operations & Technical Leadership
• Lead the planning, coordination, and oversight of electrical maintenance, testing, installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, power distribution, outage, and specialty project work, ensuring union craft teams are positioned for successful field execution.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight for electrical field work, ensuring work is performed safely and in accordance with customer requirements, plant procedures, industry best practices, and applicable electrical codes and standards.
• Partner with customers and internal teams to define project scopes, technical requirements, staffing needs, schedules, and execution strategies.
• Serve as a trusted electrical subject matter expert, providing technical expertise to support planning, workforce readiness, and resolution of complex field, equipment, and execution challenges.
• Support proposal development, technical estimating, bid preparation, and execution planning for new FieldWorks opportunities.
Crew & Technical Capability Development
• Build and develop high-performing electrical crews by identifying the technical skills, experience, and leadership capabilities required for customer and project needs.
• Assess workforce capabilities and identify critical skill gaps, specialty talent needs, and areas requiring additional technical development.
• Partner with Training and field leadership to develop technical training, qualification, and workforce development strategies that strengthen crew readiness and capability.
• Coach, mentor, and develop craft professionals, technical specialists, and emerging field leaders, with an emphasis on technical excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Identify and develop trusted subject matter experts and specialty talent who can support complex work and future FieldWorks opportunities.
• Capture crew performance and lessons learned to continuously improve workforce selection, development, and future project execution.
Union, Customer & Field Partnerships
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with union halls and labor partners to support workforce planning, mobilization, and access to highly skilled craft and specialty talent.
• Partner closely with union representatives to understand workforce capabilities, identify high-performing talent, and develop reliable pipelines for current and future project needs.
