TNC FieldWorks , the union field services division of The Nuclear Company, supports America’s existing nuclear fleet and the broader energy industry by delivering specialized maintenance, outage execution, technical expertise, and workforce solutions through a union craft delivery model. FieldWorks is built specifically to plan, mobilize, and execute work in union labor environments, combining experienced nuclear and energy leadership with deep technical expertise, workforce planning, labor coordination, and field execution capabilities.

Through strong partnerships with customers and union halls, FieldWorks develops and deploys highly skilled craft and specialty technical talent for complex maintenance, outage, and project-based work. Our focus extends beyond providing labor, we build trusted, high-performing crews with the technical capability, training, and leadership required to safely and successfully execute critical work across nuclear, power generation, and energy-adjacent markets.

About the role

The Lead, Electrical FieldWorks serves as the on-site technical authority for electrical and I&C work during outages, maintenance activities, and specialty projects across nuclear, power generation, and energy-adjacent markets.

Working closely with the Manager, Electrical FieldWorks, customers, and union craft personnel, this role provides day-to-day technical direction and field oversight to electricians and I&C technicians, reviews work packages and technical documentation prior to execution, and helps ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with quality, customer, and regulatory requirements. The Electrical Lead also serves as a trusted technical resource and mentor in the field, helping develop craft capability, strengthen technical performance, and build high-performing crews.

Responsibilities

Field Leadership & Technical Oversight

• Serve as the on-site technical authority for electrical and I&C activities during outages, maintenance projects, and specialty field work.

• Provide day-to-day technical direction and field oversight to union electricians, I&C technicians, and specialty technical personnel in accordance with established union work practices.

• Review work packages, procedures, electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, schematics, technical specifications, and other documentation prior to execution to support field readiness.

• Coordinate daily work activities with customers, FieldWorks leadership, and craft teams to support safe, efficient execution and alignment with project schedules and priorities.

• Provide technical expertise and oversight to support craft-led troubleshooting and resolution of complex electrical and I&C issues, while operating within established union work practices.

• Monitor field execution and workmanship to ensure compliance with customer requirements, plant procedures, quality standards, applicable electrical codes, and regulatory requirements.

• Identify emerging technical, quality, safety, or execution issues and coordinate appropriate resolution with FieldWorks leadership and customer stakeholders.

• Maintain required field, inspection, technical, and quality documentation.

Crew & Technical Capability Development

• Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and mentorship to union electricians, I&C technicians, and specialty technical personnel.

• Mentor and develop junior craft and technical personnel, reinforcing technical standards, quality expectations, safe work practices, and field execution fundamentals.

• Assess crew capabilities and identify technical skill gaps, training needs, and specialty expertise required to strengthen field performance.

• Partner with FieldWorks leadership and Training to support technical training, qualification, and workforce development initiatives.

• Identify high-performing craft professionals, emerging field leaders, and specialty subject matter experts who can support future FieldWorks opportunities.

• Capture field feedback and lessons learned to continuously improve crew readiness, technical development, and future project execution.

Customer, Union & Field Partnerships

• Serve as a professional and technically credible FieldWorks representative at customer sites, building trust with plant leadership, field stakeholders, union personnel, and craft teams.
