The Director, Project Management assembles and supervises the Project Management team as assigned to plan, direct, and coordinate activities of a project to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.  The Director, Project Management is primarily responsible for maintaining the client relationship on one or more projects.

We are seeking a Director that has managed K-12 construction projects that is located in West Texas near Abilene, Lubbock or Midland. In this role, the Director will grow and manage a team of Construction Managers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Consult executive level existing clientele, showcasing the services that have made Cumming an industry leader by consistently making client needs top priority. • Increase services to existing clientele by providing solutions to their issues and develop new revenue generating business. • Actively participate in the recruitment and development of diverse and talented team members. • Partner with other Cumming service line leaders with the goal of providing an integrated project approach to clients and setting Cumming apart from competitors. • Negotiate major contractual and commercial issues (GC, Arch, Direct to owner, etc.). • Develop procurement and delivery strategies. • Oversee quality of team output and coach for excellent performance. • Advise client of various types of Insurance limits and claims. • Assist with the negotiation and execution of Cumming proposals, staffing, and contracts. • Vigorously grow revenue in a large, complex market. • Track and manage revenue, utilization, and profitability for project(s) assigned. • Other duties as assigned. • Attendance at work during normal business hours.

Knowledge & Skills Required: • Demonstrated experience with growing revenue in a large, complex market. • Experience negotiating major contractual and commercial agreements. • Ability to provide input on functional strategies and lead execution by designing programs. • Ability to proactively influence changes; thinking through issue trends and scalable solutions that further organizational goals. • Previous experience managing a team • Experience identifying and driving accountability. • Ability to nurture regional/global team member and client relationships. • Demonstrated ability to identify resources to keep current and network externally. • Ability to mentor/develop key team members (may be outside the chain of command).

Preferred Education and Experience: Education: BS in Construction, CM, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field Experience: 14+ years of PM experience overall including management and leading client expectations in a client facing-role Preferred Certification: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED Ability to travel to client sites in West Texas

Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
