About this role
The Opportunity Customization and consistency give creators lasting control over how generative models work for them — no starting from scratch each time, faster output as a result.
This role owns strategy across several initiatives in this space: how the parts fit together, and what's coming before anyone else sees it. It's the voice other leaders rely on for a clear read on where this space is headed.
Ownership of this portfolio is still forming, so this is hands-on work early — likely direct accountability for one surface alongside setting the broader direction. Influence here comes from expertise and delivered work, not org chart position. We're looking for someone who wants to build both the map and the road! What should we build first?
What you'll Do Set strategy for the portfolio • Define what "leverage" means across Adobe's generative tools, and how the bets underneath it sequence against each other. • Spot the next major opportunity before it's obvious and make the case for it. • Decide what the platform handles automatically vs. what stays under direct user control, and where enterprise needs diverge from individual-creator needs.
Own a piece of it directly • Take full accountability — roadmap, adoption, commercial health — for one product surface in the portfolio, wherever ownership is thinnest at the time. • Stay credible in the details, not just the framework.
Be the reference point for this space • Serve as the authority other Adobe teams turn to for a point of view. • Give peer-level support to other PMs, including Principal-level owners of individual surfaces. • Represent this area with partners at VP level and above, and contribute externally — talks, shared research, or similar — as it strengthens Adobe's standing.
What you'll Need • Deep product management experience with expertise recognized beyond your own team — this role assumes real authority in the space, not just seniority. • Technical fluency in generative model customization and consistency mechanisms, sharp enough to set strategy and do the work yourself. • A track record defining strategy in ambiguous, unowned spaces — not just running an existing roadmap. • Peer-mentorship instincts: comfortable shaping other PMs' thinking without formal authority over their work. • Ease moving between company-level strategy and hands-on ownership of a single project, sometimes in the same day.
