About this role
CareDx is a leading precision medicine diagnostics company advancing care in transplant, specialty oncology, and cell therapy. Through our innovative portfolio of molecular diagnostics, digital health solutions, AI-powered data and analytics, and patient support services, we partner with healthcare providers, patients, and biopharma organizations to help inform clinical decision-making and improve patient outcomes.
At CareDx, every employee has the opportunity to contribute to innovations that help transform patient care and improve lives.
Are you passionate about building new markets and advancing care for patients undergoing stem cell transplant and cell therapy? CareDx is seeking a strategic, hands-on, and highly collaborative Director of Marketing to help establish CareDx as a leader in the Cell Therapy & Transplant (CTT) setting. This individual will play a central role in the launch of AlloHeme, CareDx’s blood-based surveillance solution for post bone marrow transplant AML and MDS patients, while also supporting commercial readiness planning for additional pipeline assets across the CTT franchise.
This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the brand strategy, market development approach, launch tactics, and execution model for a new CareDx franchise. Reporting to the VP, Cell Therapy & Transplant, this individual will own the development and execution of integrated marketing plans that build awareness, belief, adoption, and pull-through for AlloHeme and future CTT offerings. The role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking and executional excellence, with the ability to translate clinical data, customer insights, and commercial priorities into clear, compelling, compliant marketing programs.
The successful candidate will work closely with the CTT product lead, Sales, Medical Affairs, Marketing Operations, Events, Corporate Communications, Digital, Compliance/MLR, and external agency partners. This individual will also help ensure CareDx is positioned as a trusted partner to hematologist oncologist transplant physicians, lab directors, administrators, and other stakeholders across bone marrow transplant and cell therapy centers.
This is a hybrid in-person/remote position, with the expectation that the Director will be on-site at CareDx’s Brisbane, CA office three days per week to stay closely connected to the team, cross-functional partners, and company culture. While there may be some flexibility to live outside the immediate Bay Area, the role requires regular in-office presence for collaboration, planning, and execution.
Responsibilities include:
• Brand Strategy & Franchise Development – Develop and execute the brand strategy for AlloHeme. Establish CareDx’s differentiated positioning in CTT by building on the company’s transplant leadership while addressing the unique needs of bone marrow transplant and cell therapy centers. Translate market research, competitive intelligence, KOL feedback, customer insights, and commercial priorities into clear strategic plans and compelling messages that support launch readiness, market shaping, and long-term franchise growth.
• AlloHeme Launch Planning & Execution – Lead marketing planning and execution for the launch of AlloHeme, including core messaging, sales materials, digital content, conference presence, peer-to-peer education, PR/communications support, customer-facing resources, and field pull-through tools. Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure launch tactics are aligned with clinical data, customer needs, market access considerations, operational workflows, and CareDx brand standards.
• Promotional Strategy & Tactic Development – Develop compelling, compliant promotional strategies and materials for key stakeholder audiences, including hem/onc transplant physicians, lab directors, clinical leadership, transplant administrators, value analysis committees, and other decision makers. Lead creation of sales aids, speaker decks, email campaigns, web content, conference assets, brochures, and other print/digital resources in collaboration with digital and operational marketing.
• Market Development & Customer Engagement – Drive initiatives that increase awareness of CareDx in the CTT setting and support adoption of AlloHeme as part of post-transplant monitoring workflows. Develop programs that communicate the unmet need in post-HCT AML/MDS surveillance, the value of blood-based monitoring, and the importance of standardized relapse surveillance approaches. Partner with Medical Affairs and Sales to support compliant KOL engagement, advisory boards, congress activities, and educational initiatives.
• Pipeline & Commercial Readiness Support – Work closely with the CTT product lead and cross-functional partners to develop commercial readiness plans for additional pipeline assets and potential future CTT offerings. Support market assessment, product positioning, customer segmentation, target audience definition, launch sequencing, value proposition development, and early tactical planning for assets beyond AlloHeme, including future molecular testing and/or wraparound solutions as applicable.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration – Serve as a key marketing partner across Product, Sales, Medical Affairs, Marketing Operations, Events, Corporate Communications, Digital, Sales Training, Customer Experience, Market Access, and Compliance. Ensure CTT marketing initiatives are coordinated across internal teams and executed with clear timelines, ownership, and accountability. Partner closely with Sales Training to ensure the field team is equipped to deliver consistent, accurate, and compelling messages.
