The Director of Inventory & Global Supply Chain Finance leads Micron's inventory finance strategy, forecasting, planning, governance, and financial transformation initiatives. This role serves as a critical business partner to Global Supply Chain, Operations Finance, FP&A, Business Unit Finance, Accounting, and executive leadership, driving financial insight, inventory optimization, working capital performance, forecasting accuracy, and process simplification across a complex semiconductor manufacturing network. The successful candidate will combine deep semiconductor finance experience with strong business partnership, systems acumen, analytical rigor, and executive communication skills. They must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment where priorities evolve rapidly and ambiguity is common. Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Working Capital Leadership • Own enterprise inventory forecasting processes across raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and channel inventory. • Develop and communicate inventory strategies, DIO targets, and working capital recommendations to senior leadership. • Drive root-cause analysis of inventory changes, forecast variances, and operational performance drivers. • Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Business Units to optimize inventory and support business objectives.

Financial Planning & Analysis • Lead inventory-related inputs for business plans, budgets, forecasts, and long-range planning processes. • Develop financial models and scenario analyses supporting supply chain, manufacturing, and strategic decision-making. • Translate operational metrics into financial implications and actionable business insights. • Support executive reviews, Board-level materials, and CFO-level discussions regarding inventory, working capital, and operational performance.

Finance Transformation & Systems Enablement • Lead finance process modernization initiatives including system migration, forecasting automation, data governance, and reporting transformation. • Partner with IT and business stakeholders to define requirements, improve processes, and implement scalable solutions. • Champion automation, analytics, Power BI, AI, and modern planning capabilities to improve productivity and decision quality. • Ensure integrity and sustainability of critical planning and reporting processes. • Identify finance workflows that are amenable to AI-enabled solutions, automation, or advanced analytics; develop use cases, partner with stakeholders on implementation

Business Partnership & Executive Influence • Serve as trusted advisor to Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Executive leadership teams. • Influence decisions through data-driven recommendations and clear communication. • Align stakeholders across multiple organizations on priorities, assumptions, risks, and execution plans. • Present complex concepts in a concise and executive-ready manner.

Team Leadership • Lead and develop a global team responsible for inventory planning, reporting, financial analysis, and process execution. • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and intellectual curiosity. • Coach employees on analytical thinking, business partnership, communication, and leadership skills.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field. • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including roles supporting manufacturing, supply chain, operations, or semiconductor businesses. • Experience in both FP&A and controllership/accounting-oriented environments. • Demonstrated leadership experience managing high-performing teams and cross-functional initiatives. • Strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost accounting, forecasting, planning, and working capital management. • Experience partnering with executive leaders and influencing strategic decisions. • Advanced analytical and financial modeling capabilities. • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. • Experience identifying and assessing practical AI use cases within finance, planning, reporting, forecasting, variance analysis, or analytics workflows, including defining the business problem, expected value, data inputs, success measures, risks, and implementation requirements   need ed   to move an idea from concept to execution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Semiconductor industry experience strongly preferred. • Experience supporting complex manufacturing environments and global supply chains. • Experience with enterprise planning platforms such as SAP, SAC-P, S/4, Anaplan, TM1, or similar. • Experience leading digital transformation, automation, reporting, or analytics initiatives. • MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$151,000.00 - $313,000.00 a year Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
