About this role

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Job Profile Summary: Develops community outreach program activities and coordinates program fundraising to promote stable and productive relationships between the university and local community. Job Description: Under the general supervision of the Student Engagement Manager, this position will coordinate student engagement through student organizations, events, communications, undergraduate engagement, and departmental operations. The Student Engagement Coordinator should be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to creating engaging and inclusive student experience. The Student Engagement Coordinator plays a key role in coordinating student organizations, student engagement programs, signature events, departmental operations, and administrative processes that contribute to student success. This position manages student communications, purchasing processes, and operational functions that help ensure the success of Student Engagement initiatives. Reporting directly to the Student Engagement Manager, this role is ideal for an organized, student-centered professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about student development, leadership, and community building
Position Salary Range: • $48,600 - $55,000; to commensurate with education and experience
Essential Duties: • Coordinate and promote the activities of Thunderbird student organizations and student leaders.
• Serve as a resource to student organizations by providing guidance, operational support, and administrative services.
• Assist with the annual student organization registration, recognition, and compliance process.
• Assist student organizations in understanding and following university policies and procedures.
• Coordinate Student Engagement programs, signature events, and special projects through planning, logistics, and event execution.
• Coordinate room reservations, vendor communications, event logistics, and event setup and teardown.
• Manage departmental purchasing processes, including P-Card transactions, expense reconciliation, purchasing documentation, supply management, and financial record maintenance in accordance with university policies.
• Coordinate student communications through newsletters, email campaigns, social media, promotional materials, and other student-facing platforms.
• Maintain and regularly update student-facing resources, guides, websites, calendars, communication materials, and digital content.
• Coordinate undergraduate engagement initiatives and outreach efforts that encourage participation in Thunderbird programs, student organizations, leadership opportunities, and student success initiatives.
• Maintain departmental records, project management tools, calendars, participation data, and operational documentation to support assessment and reporting.
• Coordinate the onboarding, scheduling, training, and daily workflow of student workers, interns, and student assistants as assigned.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with students, staff, faculty, alumni, guests, vendors, and community partners.
• Represent Thunderbird School of Global Management in a professional manner at university and community events.
• Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, accountability, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
