What You Will Do: • Perform all phases of the system development lifecycle including requirements capture, system design and modeling, integrating with hardware and other software components, system verification and validation • Work with systems engineers and other engineering disciplines to document derived requirements, define internal system interfaces, develop system architectures, integrate system components, and perform system verification • Test and debug display systems using systems integration labs, simulation environments and specialized test equipment • Develop automated test procedures and software tools to perform systems integration and testing • Learn and apply internal processes, methods and tools for systems development and documentation
What You Will Learn: • Implementation of multiple phases of the system development lifecycle including requirements capture, system design and modeling, integration, system verification and validation • Application of industry standards and processes, such as ARINC 661, ARINC 664, and ARP-4754
Qualifications You Must Have: • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date. • Proficient with high-level software programming languages and/or scripting languages • 6+ months experience with developing and testing avionics or other aircraft systems
Qualifications We Prefer: • 6+ months experience with safety-critical, real-time, embedded system development and verification • Experience developing systems that are compliant with SAE ARP-4754, RTCA DO-178, DO-160 and/or DO-254 • Experience with ARINC standards: ARINC 429, ARINC 661, ARINC 664 or ARINC 739
