The listed pay range or pay rate reflects compensation for a  full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE)  position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time).

Pay Range: $103,376.00 - $135,720.00 Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Position Overview ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Develops and provides educational opportunities that enable healthcare providers to integrate research into practice.. Develops education programs incorporating aspects of cultural diversity of population served in a collaborative environment. Participates in developing, updating and maintaining educational materials. Demonstrates effective teaching skills by using a variety of instructional methods/teaching strategies. • Designs educational programs and coordinates and presents programs to healthcare providers. Formulates competencies based on the job functions of healthcare providers. Disseminates information about relevant learning offerings within and outside CH. Assists in updating and monitoring the orientation process. • Integrates information regarding evidence-based practice and CH regulatory standards in education activities. Disseminates recent innovations and research findings relevant to area of nursing practice and patient outcomes. Creates and revises standards, objectives, policies and procedures utilizing evidence-based practices. • Facilitates staff involvement in departmental quality improvement projects. Promotes staff involvement in hospital-wide performance improvement projects. Incorporates standards of care when developing performance improvement activities. Facilitates the resolution of clinical issues requiring educational intervention. • Functions as a nurse advocate and change agent during organizational and committee meetings. Maintains level of expertise by attending continuing education programs in area of specialty. Participates as an active member of a professional organization. • Demonstrates knowledge of current healthcare standards and a commitment to quality patient care. Fosters the clinical development of staff by functioning as a clinical leader in an advising and guiding role. Functions as a role model for proper infection control practices. Articulates DNV-GL, DOH, Magnet and other regulatory agency standards. Evaluates compliance with regulatory standards. • Coaches healthcare providers in expanding their critical thinking skills to promote best practices. Guides healthcare providers during their participation in PI activities. • Collaborates with the patient, patient's family and healthcare providers in achieving best practices and optimal patient outcomes. Consults with healthcare providers to develop plans of care designed to promote positive patient outcomes. • Analyzes the learning needs of healthcare providers and patients. Evaluates program outcome effectiveness. Evaluates the relevance and appropriateness of educational materials. Develops educational programs and information as needed to meet the determined needs while ensuring we are admiring to best practice standards. • Evaluates performance improvement and regulatory requirement data. Reports on performance improvement findings. Identifies trends of concern to determine area of opportunity for improvement. • Assists in the maintenance of records for educational activities. Promotes accuracy and completeness of documentation in the patient medical record. Documents performance improvement, research and regulatory requirement data. Submits required documents with accuracy and in a timely manner. • Assists with the completion of performance appraisals and assesses the achievement of staff competence and documents the achievement of staff competence. Promotes the professional development of CH employees. Monitors the professional development of healthcare providers. • Oversees and supports perinatal bereavement process and program. • Supports palliative care as needs arise.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Education : Master’s Degree in nursing (MSN). NICU certification within one year of hire date if assigned to NICU or Obstetrics (OB) certification within one year of hire date if assigned to Maternal Child Health. • Experience : Five years recent experience as a Registered Nurse in a specialty-related acute care unit. • Other Credentials: AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider, Registered Nurse - NJ • CPR Requirements:

• Requires ACLS (or must obtain within 6 months of hire date) if assigned to:   Critical Care/Intermediate/Telemetry, Emergency Rooms, Pediatrics/Pediatrics Emergency Room, Labor & Delivery, Surgical Services (not to include Perioperative), Interventional Procedures, Observation. • Requires NRP (or must obtain within 6 months of hire date) if assigned to:   Maternity Services • Requires PALS (or must obtain within 6 months of hire date) if assigned to:   Emergency Rooms, Infant Follow-Up, Surgical Services (only PACU & Same Day Surgery), Pediatrics/Pediatric ED.
