Our BioAnalytics US team, as part of Global CMC Development organization, plays a critical role in advancing Sanofi's R&D pipelines from early discovery through late-stage development. We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Senior Scientist with expertise in Cell and Molecular Biology to join the Bioassay Development group in Framingham, MA. In this role, you will be a key contributor to a multidisciplinary team, driving analytical method development, optimization and routine testing to support R&D programs to meet project goals within established timelines.

Main Responsibilities: • Apply scientific expertise and judgement to initiate, design, direct and execute analytical experiments to develop and qualify relative potency methods for early and late-stage clinical molecules.
• Innovate and engineer novel cell lines with which to evaluate molecules’ mechanisms of action.
• Support mAb and bi/tri-specific development as well as other modalities such as viral and non-viral gene therapy.
• Maintain good documentation practices using the electronic lab notebook system.
• Maintain GMP compliance by following GMP procedures in the laboratory, by supporting routine maintenance activities in the department, and by training on drafting appropriate SOPs.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary and cross-functional teams, including biologists, chemists, quality, legal and other stakeholders.
• Lead and contribute to high-profile presentations and publications, ensuring effective communication of research findings and methodologies.
• Support the growth of the team by mentoring interns and junior scientists, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative research environment.
• Collaborate with CROs and CDMOs for training, outsourced activities, co-validation or testing.
About you:
Basic Qualifications • PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Immunology, Microbiology, Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences or a related field with a with a minimum of 1 year of relevant research experience. Academic research, thesis work, co-ops, and/or internships will be considered.
• OR a Master’s degree in one of the above or related fields with at least 4 years of relevant experience. Academic research experience will be considered.
• Experience in mammalian cell culture and either engineering cell lines or transgenic model systems.
• Extensive experience in at least two of the following cell and molecular biology techniques: qPCR, Western blotting, and plate-based assays (e.g., ELISA, fluorescence-based assays).
• Strong time management skills to execute in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organization and scientific communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications • Experience with SnapGene, Softmax, luminometer or relative potency statistical analyses
• Knowledge of a biologics’ standard analytical methods and controls
