About this role
This role will support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities on a high-performance, mission-critical facility, working closely with clients, design teams, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with stringent project requirements.
Responsibilities Project Planning & Coordination • Serve as a primary liaison with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders for day-to-day construction activities on a mission critical project. • Develop and maintain project work schedules, identify critical-path activities, and coordinate the timely delivery of critical materials and equipment essential to mission critical operations. • Oversee construction activities to ensure alignment with contract documents, project schedules, logistics plans, quality requirements, and field operations for a mission critical environment. • Coordinate work across trades and disciplines to maintain efficient project sequencing and minimize disruptions or delays in a critical mission. • Identify, document, and facilitate resolution of project issues involving design clarifications, procedures, labor, equipment, logistics, and schedule. • Coordinate project mock-ups, associated testing, reviews, and approvals to support mission critical performance standards.
Field Operations, Safety & Compliance • Support implementation of the project safety program in collaboration with Environmental Health & Safety teams and ensure contractors comply with enhanced safety requirements typical of mission critical construction. • Monitor field operations, staffing levels, and construction progress to support successful delivery of a mission critical facility. • Ensure required project permits, insurance documentation, and regulatory requirements remain current throughout the project. • Coordinate with inspection agencies and other authorities having jurisdiction as required. • Support applicable environmental and stormwater compliance requirements.
Cost, Schedule & Contract Administration • Monitor general conditions and general requirements to support alignment with the approved project budget for a mission-critical project. • Review and verify monthly estimates of completed work, Work-In-Place (WIP), material invoices, payroll documentation, billing, and contractor payment applications. • Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, schedules, and other contract documents to support construction execution and resolve discrepancies in a mission-critical environment. • Assist with tracking project costs, schedule performance, procurement activities, and other key project controls.
Team & Stakeholder Leadership • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, design teams, contractors, trade partners, and project personnel on a mission-critical project. • Provide technical and jobsite planning guidance to support project teams and field operations. • Support, mentor, and develop project staff while promoting accountability, teamwork, and effective communication in a high-performance, mission-critical environment. • Apply continuous improvement practices to enhance project efficiency, coordination, and overall performance. • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in engineering, Architecture, construction management, or a related field. • Minimum of 8 years of construction experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience. • Demonstrated experience supporting complex commercial construction projects; mission-critical project experience strongly preferred.
Construction & Technical Knowledge • Strong understanding of commercial construction operations, including construction means and methods, materials, field coordination, and self-perform operations. • Thorough knowledge of contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules. • Knowledge of construction cost management, scheduling, estimating, procurement, and engineering principles. • Working knowledge of applicable building codes, OSHA requirements, and construction safety programs. • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and other technical project documentation.
Project Management Skills • Experience supporting project budgeting, scheduling, cost controls, purchasing, billing, and overall construction administration. • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, evaluate solutions, and drive timely resolution. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate effectively in a fast-paced mission critical construction environment. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, construction scheduling software, and project management applications.
Leadership & Communication • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide teams, make sound decisions, and build productive working relationships. • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
Compensation Range: $84,338.82 - $96,387.22
