Job Profile: Assistant Coach

Job Duties: Assistant Coach, Swimming & Diving responsibilities are within the Department of Athletics, supporting the department and the University objectives. Key responsibilities include planning, recruiting, coaching, developing, implementing, communicating, and administering the athletic program. The individual is expected to demonstrate professionalism and behavior that upholds the integrity of student athletes, the athletics program, and the University.

As part of serving the program and university, the Assistant Coach, Swimming & Diving will assist the Aquatics Center Manager in the day-to-day operations and utilization of the facility. They will have key responsibilities related to the aquatics programming (camps, clinics, lessons, etc.); assisting with managing operations, maintenance, and resources; and enforcing policies and procedures.

The role requires knowledge of equipment usage, safety standards, and proper maintenance and repair practices to ensure a safe and efficient aquatic environment, as well as correct certifications in place.

Compensation & Benefits: The Assistant Coach, Swimming & Diving is a full-time , salaried , exempt , annual (12-month) , limited appointee position.

Required Qualifications: • Minimum three years of swim coaching, playing or related experience.

Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s, or higher, degree from an accredited college or university
