About this role
Analytics Leadership Development Program (ALDP) – Full-Time Associate
At The Cigna Group, data, analytics, and AI shape decisions that improve health outcomes, make care more affordable, and help build a healthcare system that works better for everyone. The Analytics Leadership Development Program (ALDP) is how we grow the next generation of AI-native analytics leaders: individuals who can build modern AI-enabled solutions, work fluently alongside AI, and lead teams that turn data into measurable business and clinical impact.
The Program ALDP is a 4–5-year leadership development program built around three 12–18-month rotations across analytics, data science, and AI teams supporting our businesses. Over the course of the program, you will: • Rotate through a mix of technical depth assignments (data science, AI product, MLOps/platform, and AI product builder roles within our AI Innovation Office) and business-impact assignments (clinical analytics, affordability, customer experience, provider, and network analytics). • Gain exposure to a range of working environments - from scaling analytics in established teams to contributing in fast-moving, R&D-style settings where new AI-powered products are rapidly prototyped and tested. • Be paired with mentors, coaches, and sponsors empowering you to meet your goals and help you plan each next move. • Move through a structured technical and leadership development experience designed to build both analytic capabilities and leadership skills. • Build breadth and depth through rotations that prepare you for future analytics, AI, and product leadership roles.
What You Will Do • Build AI-enabled analytics solutions by applying statistical analysis, machine learning, and experimentation to real healthcare and business problems, with exposure to modern generative AI workflows used in production environments. • Develop fluency working alongside AI by leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate problem solving, analytics, and development while maintaining strong analytical judgment. • Build and iterate AI-powered products end-to-end by identifying high-value problems, developing prototypes, and refining solutions based on real user feedback and adoption. (aligned to product builder expectations of identifying what to build and shipping solutions) • Translate analytics and prototypes into adopted solutions by partnering with cross-functional teams to frame problems, design solutions that get used, and communicate insights clearly to diverse audiences. • Build responsible, business-grounded analytics by working with sensitive healthcare data under governance standards and developing an understanding of healthcare economics, programs, and operations.
Qualifications • Master’s degree in quantitative fields such as Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a closely related discipline • Hands-on experience applying statistical or machine learning methods through coursework, research, capstone projects, internships, or professional roles • Proficiency in Python (preferred) or R, and SQL for working with structured data • Familiarity with experimental design and analytical evaluation (e.g., hypothesis testing, A/B testing, model assessment) • Exposure to modern AI concepts and tooling, including generative AI and AI-assisted development, with an interest in applying these tools to prototype and build solutions • Not required but recommended : Demonstrated track record using AI-assisted builder tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Lovable), with examples from academic, professional, and/or personal projects; can explain where AI helped, where you chose not to use it, and how you validated outputs. • Exposure to building end-to-end solutions (e.g., prototypes, applications, or tools) that move from ideas to usable output through coursework, projects, or professional experience • Strong problem-solving skills, comfort working in ambiguity, and the ability to structure complex questions into actionable analyses that support solution design and adoption • Clear communication skills and demonstrated leadership potential through academic, professional, research, or extracurricular experiences
