Job Details: The College of Pharmacy is searching for an Admissions Counselor on the Atlanta, Georgia campus.   Responsibilities : The Admissions Counselor serves as a key representative of the College of Pharmacy, advancing its mission by recruiting, advising, and supporting prospective students throughout the admissions process. This position communicates the mission, values, and distinctive strengths of the College and PharmD Program to prospective students, families, collegiate advisors, high school counselors, and other external partners. The Admissions Counselor develops and manages recruitment initiatives, represents the College through regular travel to recruitment events, plans and facilitates on-campus and virtual recruitment programs, and guides prospective students from initial inquiry through enrollment. The position also provides leadership for the College's Pharmacy Ambassador Program and Pharmacy Scholars Summer Program to enhance student engagement and recruitment.

Qualifications : Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is required. Collegiate admissions or other collegiate- or sales-related professional experience is desirable.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier as this position requires travel.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, meeting deadlines, and achieving established goals.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to learn and effectively use customer relationship management (CRM) and admissions systems (e.g., Slate, PharmCAS, Anthology) to manage prospective student communications and recruitment activities.

• Excellent presentation, public speaking, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences in individual and group settings.

• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and adapt to changing priorities.

• Ability to build positive relationships and provide exceptional customer service to prospective students, families, collegiate advisors, high school counselors, faculty, staff, and other external partners.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to professionally represent Mercer University and the College of Pharmacy with diverse populations.

• Ability to analyze recruitment and enrollment data to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment activities and recommend strategies to improve prospective student engagement and enrollment outcomes.

• Ability to counsel prospective students and families regarding admissions requirements, academic programs, financial aid resources, and enrollment processes while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

• Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including occasional overnight travel, and to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, to support recruitment and enrollment activities.

• Ability to safely transport and set up recruitment materials, displays, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Demonstrated initiative, integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to student success, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
