THE ROLE:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting. This role will manage core accounting processes, maintain internal controls, and support strategic financial decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with leadership skills and a proactive approach to process improvement.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN:

Core Accounting & Financial Operations

- Own the day-to-day accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense management.

- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.

- Maintain accurate financial records and prepare balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

- Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable accounting standards.

Financial Infrastructure & Process Development

- Establish and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial policies to support a scaling startup.

- Implement and optimize accounting systems, tools, and workflows to improve efficiency and reporting.

- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and insights.

- Monitor key financial metrics and analyze variances to help leadership understand company performance.

Cross-Functional Support & External Coordination

- Partner with leadership and operational teams to ensure financial processes align with business needs.

- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory partners for audits, filings, and compliance.

What You Will Need:

Required

- 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience

- CPA or equivalent certification

- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

- Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems, with preference for Sage Intacct

- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability

Bonus

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- Prior public accounting or Big Four experience

- Experience in a high-growth startup or venture backed companies

- Experience in B2B SaaS and/or AI industry

- Experience supporting audits, investor reporting, or fundraising diligence

- Experience with international or multinational environment
