AIG’s Political Risk business helps clients confidently navigate the challenges of operating and investing across the globe. Working with multinational corporations, financial institutions, and investors, we provide tailored insurance solutions that protect against risks such as political violence, expropriation, currency inconvertibility, and sovereign default.
As part of a team of specialized underwriters and risk professionals, you will help design innovative solutions for complex international exposures. Combining deep market expertise , global reach, and decades of experience, AIG Political Risk professionals enable clients to pursue growth opportunities in an increasingly complex and interconnected world.

Responsibilities
• Support the evaluation and underwriting of political and economic risks associated with businesses and investments operating across global markets.
• Review country, financial, economic, and exposure information to support risk selection , pricing, and coverage decisions.
• Partner with experienced underwriters and risk professionals to develop tailored solutions for complex international exposures.
• Build relationships with brokers and clients while supporting new business and renewal opportunities.
• Monitor geopolitical, economic, and market developments to identify emerging risks and support informed underwriting decisions.
• Develop knowledge of political risk insurance and international markets while building analytical, research, and relationship-management skills.
Minimum Qualifications
Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree to be received no later than June 202 7 (unofficial transcript required upon application).
Program Requirements
• Available to start the Program on July 26, 2027.
• Analyst positions are in-person opportunities, requiring employees to work in the office at least four days per week.
Core Qualifications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Preferred majors include Risk Management & Insurance, Finance, Economics, International Business, International Relations, Political Science, or a related field .
• Demonstrated interest in global markets, geopolitics, economics, commercial insurance, or risk management.
• Interest in evaluating complex international risks.
For applicants in Colorado, Jersey City, and New York City the pay range for this position is $72,975 - $83,400.
