The Yoga Instructor is a teaching professional responsible for designing and leading safe, well-sequenced, and inspiring yoga classes for Club members. This role blends deep knowledge of yoga practice with genuine hospitality: you are a skilled teacher, a calm and confident presence in the studio, and an ambassador for the Club's wellness culture. This is a member-facing role where teaching quality, consistency, and professionalism are non-negotiable. You hold space for practitioners at every level, from the first-timer who has never stepped on a mat to the experienced student refining an advanced practice, and you make every one of them feel welcome, capable, and cared for. Success in this role looks like classes that members build their week around, steady and growing attendance, a studio experience that feels intentional from the moment members walk in, and a reputation among members and teammates as a teacher who delivers a consistently exceptional class.

Class Schedule The instructor will be responsible for teaching recurring weekly classes as assigned per the Club's current group fitness schedule. Specific class days, times, and formats will be confirmed at the time of hire. The class schedule is subject to change based on business needs, participant demand, facility operations, or company discretion. Additional classes or substitute opportunities may also be available.

Essential Responsibilities Class Instruction & Sequencing • Design and lead safe, effective, and thoughtfully sequenced yoga classes appropriate to the assigned format, level, and class duration. • Provide clear, skillful cueing for alignment, breath, and transitions; offer modifications, props, and progressions so practitioners of all levels can participate fully and safely. • Observe students throughout class and provide verbal adjustments and individual guidance as appropriate; obtain consent before any hands-on assists and honor member preferences without exception. • Create a calm, welcoming, and inclusive studio environment that reflects the Club's standard of care. • Adapt teaching for members with injuries, limitations, or special considerations; refer members to appropriate medical professionals when needs fall outside scope of practice. • Maintain depth and freshness in class programming; continue developing as a teacher through ongoing study and practice

Studio & Class Operations • Arrive a minimum of 10 minutes prior to each scheduled class, prepared and ready to teach. • Set up the studio prior to class: props, mats, lighting, temperature, and music, so the space is ready when the first member arrives. • Manage class attendance and verify participant registration before allowing participation. • Return all props and equipment to their proper location after class and ensure the studio is clean, organized, and reset for the next use. • Sanitize shared props and equipment after each class and support studio cleanliness standards. • Promptly report damaged or malfunctioning equipment, or any studio facility issues, to management.

Member Experience • Greet members warmly and by name when known; build genuine relationships that make the studio experience personal and consistent. • Welcome new students individually before class: learn names, ask about injuries or considerations, and orient them to the space. • Foster a community-focused environment that encourages regular attendance and member retention. • Support new member wellness onboarding and promote Club yoga and wellness programming in a professional, service-first manner. • Handle member questions and concerns with professionalism and follow-through; escalate sensitive or recurring issues to leadership with clear context.

Operational Discipline & Team Standards • Accurately record all hours worked by clocking in and out and maintaining an up-to-date timecard. • Wear professional attire appropriate to teaching while onsite and represent the Club's standard in appearance and conduct. • Communicate professionally with management via email, phone, and text during normal business hours. • Arrange approved substitute coverage in advance for any class you are unable to teach, per Club procedures. • Complete required administrative tasks, training assignments, and company meetings in a timely manner. • Comply with all Club policies, operating procedures, and site-specific SOPs.

Qualifications • Current 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification (RYT-200) or equivalent required; 500-hour certification (RYT-500) or advanced training strongly preferred. • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification. • Minimum of 3 years of experien
