Job Description: THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION LOCATED IN SPOKANE, WASHINGTON. THE HOURS FOR THIS POSITION ARE MONDAY-THURSDAY 5AM-3:30PM.

POSITION SUMMARY Under general supervision, the Welder Fabricator Level 3 saws, cuts, welds and fabricates parts to blueprint specifications utilizing saws, buffers, torches, MIG (mixed inner gas) and Stick welding equipment.  Additional skills include; buffing material to AMSI specifications utilizing portable equipment.   SUMMARY There are 3 levels in the Welder Fabricator classification with each advancement being inclusive of the prior in the sequence.    QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS • Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manor • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions • Possess a positive attitude towards all employees and create positive working relationships • Demonstrate proper use of all safety equipment through everyday use and practice • Perform material handling duties (part identification and handling, basic rigging) • Ability to operate hand, power, and measuring tools related to welding and fabrication • Perform duties as assigned by lead or supervisor • Attend all required team and company meetings • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area through continuous 7S efforts

LEVEL 3: • Independently build mainframe and large assemblies with proficiency in the layout, fabrication, buffing and welding of multiple Alliance machines • Use measuring instruments to level and align components, detect and mitigate runout, work to close tolerances with a demand for square, concentricity, and parallelism • Complete the necessary documentation to ensure quality and production requirements • Apply and understand the ECR process (submitting changes for engineering approval) • Ability to display basic rigging skills utilizing machine weights, pick points • Actively participate on lean project teams supporting Alliance’s continuous improvement process • Ability to train lower level associates on metals, measuring tools, and steel fabrication equipment • Inspect incoming materials to blueprint specifications for use in fabricating parts • Refers to blueprints or diagrams in laying out guidelines on the surface of required materials to meet specifications. Utilizes rules, scale squares, scribes and other tools to ensure close tolerances • Maintains welding and fabrication equipment in safe operating order, performing basic repairs on minor machine malfunctions and communicates to supervision machine issues or malfunctions • Generates rough sketches for suggestions involving redesigned parts or assemblies for engineering use • Applies proper materials/inventory procedures; requests parts, returns incorrect parts, and handles floor stock issues • Demonstrates above-average knowledge of all weldments, welding operations, sawing and buffing operations, and move easily through different product lines • Ability to coordinate multiple assignments, handle increased responsibility, and apply sound judgment • Demonstrate proficiency and ability to explain Visual MRP (find blueprints, part status, part location, and man-hour reporting) • Train lower-level Welders and Fabricators offering technical advice and expertise  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of welding and fabrication techniques across products • Display an advanced understanding of machine weights, pick points, and lifting and rigging • Provide welding and fabrication input for research and development projects • Assists Field Service and Engineering with manufacturing issues, installations, and design solutions • Possesses good judgement, communication, and problem-solving skills • Completes welding, fabrication, and buffing assignments in better-than-average time as outlined by the lead and/or supervisor • Demonstrates proficiency and ability to train lower level associates on shop standards, welding, fabrication techniques, and rigging • Applies proper materials/inventory procedures; requests parts, returns incorrect parts, and documentation    • Completes weldments and buffing assignments in better-than-average time as outlined by the lead and/or supervisor • Provides technical support in troubleshooting welding, fabrication, and buffing applications
